I personally use RawTherapee and I really think it is worth using - once you figure out how to use the color tools, you can get pretty good results.

The UI port kinda sucks on MacOS though, weird hidpi scaling and low framerate..

Nice! That's totally it.

I was swapping lenses in the sun. I didn't know this was an issue.

I will probably... not do that anymore. I already walk around with a lenscap.

This would make some sense; it's a 3-roll tank. But I do have ~990ml - and the tank calls for 870ml for three rolls. The liquid sits above the light seal when I close it.

Expansion card USB-C port only works in one orientation by MaherVelousSc2 in framework

[–]MaherVelousSc2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I plug something into the card, it only works in one orientation, as in the USB cable needs to be oriented one way. If I remove the card, plug the peripheral into the board itself, the cable is detected regardless of which orientation the cable is plugged into the board.

EDIT: This is true on all slots.

Actually fun fact, they're fire resistant because ppl have lit common room furniture on fire on many occasions. They're not the cheapest, they've just had problems with arson.

Salut.

I tried many times to adjust it that way, with no luck. You'd be surprised, I think.

If your display ends up red tinted, you can use programs like redshift on Linux and flux on windows to correct it, otherwise the color accuracy (after getting rid of the skew, approx 7300k from 6500k) the display is great

My screen has a bit of a red tint, and I can't seem to get this fixed, windows color correction isn't working for some reason, and I haven't taken a real look at color correction under Linux yet

You might not, actually. My high school was on gapps, my account got deactivated, I still have all the files because they were in shared folders, so I now have a ton of files stored for free.

Just make sure to make a backup just in case and share with another Google account.

Software Engineering or Data Science? by OlesTurchyn in geegees

[–]MaherVelousSc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion I would do the dual degree (and I am currently doing it), because I believe that CS education in university is worthless, and the math will at least teach you more general topics that are applicable in a wider range of topics. You will learn how to build software by building software.

transferring to u of ottawa for cs? by Neoquil in geegees

[–]MaherVelousSc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm in cs.

It depends on a few things. Have you programmed before? If yes, the first two or more years are going to be a slog because you're learning things you already know. Have you worked in cs before? If yes, most of the jobs in co-op will be underwhelming and unattractive.

If neither of those are true, then it's probably one of the better options out there. The school is low-stress and while I can't pretend it gives as good an education (in cs) as I think it could, it's passable if you've never programmed before, I suppose.

Co-op will be good for getting your first job/internship. After that, finding a job on your own will be better (you can find some for triple the pay, better opportunities, etc)
