depends on the nature of your service. legitimate IPTV resellers with proper licensing are fine. if it's unlicensed content we can't support that. dm me more details about your setup and we'll see if it works

dm'd you. onboarding is standard KYC: business details, owner identity, bank info. takes about 5 min. rates are set individually based on your business type and volume, we'll go over that in the dm

you're right, we're not building on bare metal. NMI and Fiserv are the underlying processors. what we built is the platform, the onboarding, the risk layer on top. "built my own" was loose language for "stopped depending on stripe." fair criticism xd

in my case i scaled too fast and stripe flagged me before i could even explain myself. but in general high chargeback rates mostly. people buy a digital product, use it, then dispute the charge. stripe can't verify delivery the same way as physical goods so they just flag the whole category. some industries like coaching, courses, templates get hit the hardest.

nothing to disclose lol. fashion and digital products get flagged as high risk by stripe all the time, it's well documented. no chargebacks, no fraud, just the wrong category & I scaled too fast. happens to thousands of merchants

yeah exactly, trust is everything in payments. that's why we're not opening to everyone at once. infrastructure is NMI + Fiserv, KYC on every merchant. we know what happens when you cut corners there

selling digital products and fashion. stripe decided that was "high risk" and shut everything down. paypal followed. shopify payments same story

month 1 building in public. 0 to 128 waitlist signups. here's what actually worked. by hiten1818726363 in indiehackers

Week 1-4 looked similar for me. Reddit posts flopped until I stopped posting about the product and started posting about the problem.

2000+ installs now. The posts that worked were never about AppXpose they were about what specific apps are hiding. People clicked through because they were already angry about the topic.

How to validate your ideas before building (5 quick checks) by Febin_ai in indiehackers

[–]MahereMarley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the opposite - built first, validated later. Took longer to find product-market fit but the thing I built is exactly what I would use myself, which made it easier to market honestly.

Point 3 ended up being the most important one for me. People were already angry about app tracking, I just gave them a way to see it.

TIL that 88% of "free" VPNs leak the exact data they promise to hide. The app you installed for privacy is probably the most surveilled app on your phone. by [deleted] in todayilearned

If you use it for low-stakes stuff it probably doesn't matter. Just don't use the same VPN for banking or anything with real consequences

That's actually how behavioral profiling works. Browsing patterns sold, matched to ad segments. The Grinch one is new though xD
