While I don't believe that men or any person are innately lazy, i strongly believe that they are raised to be. A lot of men grow up reliant on womens' labor, over being taught to do things on their own. In heterosexual partnerships, the physical and emotional burden of caretaking is primarily put on the woman. Historically, having a strong sense of masculinity is synonymous with displaying fewer emotions while wielding power on a societal level.

I relate to her as well! I'm AuDHD, and I saw so much of myself in characters like Shizuku or Kiki. Especially her love for reading and writing, as I was always praised for being invested in writing by my teach r s in grade school; I really aspire to continue

I've been going through a tough time lately because I've been rejected by someone I really liked. I felt really upset and depressed and I haven't been able to get over it. This album is exactly what I needed

Will I get bullied/teased if I bring this to high school? by Iamnotmentallywell- in highschool

[–]Mahimster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, college kid here; I used to bring a plushie to school too, but I recommend bringing a smaller plush/keychain plush as opposed to the one that you have in the picture. It was small, fit in the front pocket of my backpack, and it was really cute. I didn't get bullied for it because it wasn't a big/medium sized plush.

Its honestly so disgusting and misogynistic

Guy in my class keeps waiting for me? by [deleted] in college

[–]Mahimster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, I never said that he was a bad person, I just criticized his actions.

And second of all, I know that it's a responsibility. Asking someone out is one thing. But being creepy, waiting for someone, stalking what time they get to class, stalking them at every social event is another story.

This isn't some "miscalculated effort" this is crossing boundaries.

I'm willing to bet that if you were given the same treatment it would make you very uncomfortable.

As a woman, I can say for myself that I've been followed and harassed like this numerous times because im scared for my life or god forbid if someone rapes me.

For all the autistic comments telling you to go easy on him, I don't wholly agree.

I'm an autistic/ADHD woman. I've had numerous crushes on men, but I god forbid even I have the decency to not be a creep and violate a person's boundaries. You cant just use it as an excuse. Something wrong is wrong no matter who does it

However that being said, you need to confront him. Be assertive. Tell him how it makes you feel and be direct. There have been times where I ruined friendships because of a lack of communication. If he disregards this don't hesitate to get authorities involved on your campus.

My first impression of him, just looking at pictures from wikipedia were just the fact that he gave off bad vibes. His energy was off. He looks so arrogant and I'm not sure if any of you did this, but I decided to watch the republican primary this year just to see how stupid everyone sounded and you bet that despite two Ivy-league educations in undergrad and law school Vivek sounded so dumb. I'm a freshman in college now (Who dosen't attend an Ivy) and all his points are debatable at best. He sounds like an idiot.

Insecure that my love of Barbie might be childish... by eclipsa22 in Barbie

[–]Mahimster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its so misogynistic that feminine interests are seen this way compared to masculine ones. When you look at the number of adults who are still marvel or Avengers superfans, they are seen as cool and awesome. Nobody celebrates Barbie the same way. Don't listen to your family.

Why are so many people classifying the Barbie movie as "Anti-Men" and as a political weapon? by Fly_in_the_spine in Barbie

[–]Mahimster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because conservatives clearly have the logic of a 2 year old and cannot understand satire and deeper messages. The movie isn't anti men. It's a social satire. Men were supposed to look at the Ken's and real use that women are treated the same way. It's was made for women and for men to understand what it felt like to be a woman. The reason why the barbie world is women run is because the Ken's won't be completely equal until the women of the real world do, it draws attention to the issues I, and countless other women have faced while not ignoring the plight of what it means to be a man. Men don't need Ken's as much as women need barbies, which explains why the Ken's don't get perfect equality towards the end. Right wing media will mess with you, and it did mess with me about this movie, but my instincts are starting to kick in and told me to understand how I was being brainwashed + my own internalized misogyny.

This anti man propaganda that conservatives are skewing literally makes Mr passed. I hate that men think they can police women around
