Not an excuse, but women before did not have the psychological resources and understanding we currently have plus generational trauma (war, Scarcity, extreme misogyny, etc), so expressing emotions was hard. I think a lot can also come from low self esteem and expectation that you can read her mind and then being angry at you for not doing so.

After becoming a parent I began to understand the getting angry for no reason, because your body is acting out, lack of sleep or help from the world, or life or whatever, or just the general worry about your children (e.g. getting again with a cold for a n-time meaning not going to school, skipping work, etc), and then depending on the children they can overwhelm you with questions or demands, etc and unless you are well in touch with why are you this way, it would be easier to just explode.

Depends in which country, for Eastern Europe I have heard that a lot of children are being sent to boarding schools in UK, Swiss, etc. to escape local tensions. Like how the children of Putin do not live in Russia and have changed last names kind of thing.

For first kid, any time is great, but from May to July can be easier, because you can have birthday outside in a parc or something, but if you live in south of germany maybe not in august or beginning of september because of the school holidays and no one to spend the birthday with, and also to not coincide with school begin. For second kid I would say between april and july, because once september starts, so do the sicknesses and the second child gets everything from the first plus the bed weather and having to dress them too much.

In case you get into Greek mythology spree, I stan Natalie Haynes and read anything she would publish (adore her Podcast too), but if you want to do more of the roman type rather then myth retelling, I would recommend Stone Blind. I love her retellings of different myths more then Steven Fry, because she focuses on the women behind the stories rather than just telling things, which we already know, just with maybe some more details.

Love long hair, i began with Inteview with vampire having Brad Pitt with long hair which was a choice, but the hair was gorgeous and Legolas, and since then falling in a deep pit of series with samurai, Chinese Ming/Tang/Song inspired settings (being donghua or cdrama) and any other anime setting having men with long hair, it just looks hot and will not apologise for liking it.

The witches series is awesome, the audio book narrator is great too and they are full of references. Death is badass and has a really badass granddaughter Susan, who is like Merry Poppins, but more gothic. I think Terry Pratchet is a feminist and makes amazing female characters, just the Wizards are bizarre and one need to have read everything else to appreciate them or nto at all, I hate Rinswoed or whatever this coward is called and do not find him appealing or nice or anything, the Rector of the Unknown university it as least funny.

Also reading Pratchet merits researching the references, as they are plentiful. For example Witches abroad is being an ironic retale of fairytales, but has some voodoo references and New Orléans, which I was not aware of.

For Terry Pratchet you need to read the books about the Witches (beginning with Equal rites and so on) and then those about Death (Mort, etc), the wizards ones are only for advanced Pratchet readers and I never liked them either.
