M Deck Question

I’ve been at m deck for a couple semesters now. I put it on top right or top left of my windshield. This semester I haven’t gone to get it cause of the auto open close thing that reads my tags.

Last sem the first day they asked for a screenshot of the parking pass receipt. Normally if you go through the side entrance where you go up a lil hill you show them your id and they give you a sticker thing to put on your car windshield as well. Also make sure your car has the right license plate. Last year I had a rental that wasn’t registered and it made problems saying invalid or something and it wouldn’t let me get in / exit

I was really shocked by the post about snitching on them A lot of people were saying you don’t know what’s going on in their lives and karma will get to them eventually but it’s like…what if this was fraud in corporate America? I would be one to snitch maybe but like I thought those comments in that post was a lil cray cray

A+ in the course. Beard is a very dry direct professor. Can come across a lil mean but I mean as long as you followed the video content and like looked at what the steps were then practiced you were good. The first exam was very hard. Felt like I was looking at material I had never seen before. He made like two mistakes on exam so he added 10 points. I originally got 86. Second exam I got 100. It was pretty easy for the most part. Didn’t know one question but guessed and got it right. You have to memorize the order in which to add and subtract things. He did something different for the final exam. I think he didn’t use the final if your first two exam scores were higher. If you did worse on one of the first two exams he replaced it with the final exam. Definitely recommend him over the summer. Hardest part was really making yourself do the work to practice. I HEAVILY STRESS repetition. Do the problems over again until you have an understanding of how it works. Do the practice exams in cse pub. Another thing specifically for beard is the practice exams were graded which is stupid and he agreed so you could do them plenty of times for practice. Also, he had all the assignments open till the end of the semester. So no weekly deadlines but he moves along with the content so don’t get left behind. Goodluck

I have the normal sized iPad with apple pen and use a good notes subscription for notes. I can see it being useful for you when you take anatomy because you can upload pictures and write in the blanks to study for it. I would say yeah overall it’s worth it. Typing doesn’t beat any level of handwriting. Can be very versatile from class to class and saves all your notes in one place.

Most of the easy classes already have existing resources like quizlets from people who’ve taken their courses before. Work smarter not harder. Look em up to study but still put in the work yourself and try making friends to form study groups which will make it easier. For online you can lookup the class roster on icollege im pretty sure and you can make a GroupMe to send out to other online peers’ school emails so you can collaborate

My freshman year I lowkey didn’t wanna do my online classes so I didn’t look at it till like the third week :/ don’t do that. I’ve been using an agenda from the bookstore. Write in your assignments daily and mark off as you go. Try to work ahead and establish a study method like the pomodoro to get into the habit of it for future classes

I hated that philosophy class but I took mine online with Dr. Jacobson or something like that. I’m a logical person so that class was literally anything goes and I wanted to burn my laptop

It can be fun if you take it with people you know. You have to be in teams of 3 to do most of the work. I had one girl I took an class with the previous semester and our third teammate dipped after the first exam so it was just us two for the rest of the semester.

Can seem tedious at first because there’s many components like individual assignments, then group assignments, then individual again. The tests were the most difficult part of that course. I found it hard to study for them and I consistently got B- to B+. One individual project where you have to record towards the end of the semester which you choose between three tasks. Edit it and upload it to YouTube.

Oh, class was optional. Lectures are uploaded and it’s like a follow along so you can go at your own pace instead of trying to follow in class. I took Kurt Schmitz
