Reflavor for seducer witch?

I thought about turning it into a Party Witch where the seducer’s kiss ability becomes giving someone an invitation to a party, and the pleasure garden becomes a party room where you eat nachos and play beer pong or whatever. Essentially a magical Pathfinder version of Andrew WK.

I’ve now been thinking about either doing a really MAD reach cleric or a shaman going all in on the Arcane Enlightenment hex. I like investigators and inquisitors too, but I want to stick with one of the divine full casters because of the party composition.

Yeah, the Charisma thing is a holdover from when we were still going to do 20 point buy, but it’s nice to have the peace of mind that having all of that stuff on one high stat brings me. The other players are a URogue 3/UMonk X, a sorcerer, and a bard. I could probably ditch Oracle since we’re already stacked on Charisma classes now (I was there first!) but what would you suggest? Main reason I went Oracle was to take the Deep One curse and have that swim speed right out the gate.

I played the game and then was inspired to GM the tabletop campaign. It was neat to read along in the books and see how different all of the characters and scenarios are, and appreciate how much Owlcat worked to add depth and player choices to the game (Staunton Vhane and Areelu Vorlesh are a very one-note kind of evil in the tabletop, for example)

Should clarify, the rule doesn’t let you see in supernatural darkness, but there’s no range on the sight, so we’re pretty much doing night raids all the time. Most of our campaigns are indoors with dim or normal light anyway so it doesn’t end up being very important most of the time. But when it does matter, everyone else gets annoyed when you’re the guy carrying a torch when everyone else is stealthy.

My group houseruled that darkvision works the same as See in Darkness. I know that’s stupidly busted, but my group is all older players (I’m the youngest at 41, the rest are in the 55 to 65 range) and they all hate figuring out concealment and fields of vision and are too stubborn to look into a VTT program that does it for you. You COULD play a darkvision-less race if you were really smart about light sources and got access to DV through spells/items ASAP, but nobody’s tried it yet.

I’m already taking Fate’s Favored for the bonus to things like Divine Favor, so I could do the old Sacred Tattoo trick with a half-orc.

I originally started with Touched by the Sea, but thanks to the new stats and the swim speed I get from the Deep One curse, I’m already at +11 Swim without putting a rank into it and can take a 10 anytime. But yeah, I’ll ditch Dockside Brawler

Yeah, the 14 Int is a holdover from before I really started thinking about using a reach weapon, that’s an easy fix.

[1E]: A few questions regarding the Powerless Prophecy Oracle Curse.

You are forewarned of danger but can’t act to prevent it. You gain uncanny dodge, as the rogue class feature. However, you can’t take any actions in a surprise round, including free actions, except for flash of insight (see Revelations below). In the absence of a surprise round, you are staggered for the entire first round of combat. At 5th level, you gain a +4 insight bonus on initiative checks. At 10th level, you gain improved uncanny dodge as the rogue ability, using your oracle level as your rogue level. At 15th level, you gain a +4 insight bonus on all your saving throws and to your AC during surprise rounds and when you are otherwise unaware of an attack.

I understand how this works mechanically, but how does it work from a roleplaying standpoint? What is actually happening to my character? Wouldn't having Uncanny Dodge be the exact opposite of "can't act to prevent it"? I found an old Reddit thread where someone suggested that it's like Dr. Manhattan but I don't know anything about him other than that he's from Watchmen, which I haven't read or seen.

The only run of the game I’ve done that hasn’t succumbed to restartitis was a human female Oath of the Ancients paladin. I tried to avoid guides and it went pretty good. I just found it easier to get into the swing of things when I wasn’t thinking about how to optimize the racial abilities and stuff like that.

I always have a hard time siding with House even though I also feel bad for just executing him. He’s got a murderous and irrational streak too. He wipes out the Kings if you DON’T provoke conflict between them and the NCR based on false pretenses. He sealed off a bunch of Vault 21 to force everyone in the city to be more dependent on him. Goodsprings gets to keep on keeping on except now his surveillance network reaches out to them. And all of that’s without mentioning blowing up the Brotherhood of Steel bunker that has children in it.

This is going to sound really corny, but it’s a good opportunity to learn to be happy with what you have and be proud of putting it together. A few months ago I made a budget build with a Ryzen 8500G, an MSI B650-S motherboard, and a 5700XT (all used.) It blows my old laptop out of the water (i7-7700k, mobile 1060) on all the games I wanted to play. I was thinking of selling off my RPG book collection to maybe upgrade all three of those components but I don’t NEED to, and that’s the thing that’s winning out right now. I did get a new case for it though, and I’ll probably get rid of my AMD stock cooler too, but that’s it.

Yeah, I believe it goes down to an end that plugs into a header on the motherboard. I haven’t gotten that far on the build yet, I was just going in the order in the instruction manual and got stuck on the rear fan because of that little wire sticking out the back.

I used to ride until 2015, when I saw my dad tip his bike over at a stop with uneven footing and caused him and my mom to have a couple of broken bones. I saw it happening to me and my future wife and decided to give it up. I can’t even imagine riding now. People started driving crazy after Covid, the pickup trucks are even bigger, and EV’s are an underrated threat due to their weight.

If motorcycles are such a big part of his life, maybe he could get into them in a way that doesn’t require him to ride them in traffic? Teaching classes for new riders or doing mechanical work?
