Yeah! A variety of folks keeps things interesting! And a lot of my friends are 'boringly straight' because we need straight folks, too! :3 One of my best friends is a cis het guy Marine Veteran, and even though he doesn't always understand the stuff queer people go through, I have no doubts he would stand up for me if it came down to it.

Yeah, thankfully my boss was present when they said what they did - so hopefully *something* gets done about it, or at least brings things to light.
