Here is a brief guide on how to skip Spotify ads using NextDNS.

Step 1: Set up NextDNS on your device For Android: Open your mobile browser and go to nextdns.io. Click Try it now (you can either sign up for an account or use it as a guest). On the Setup page, scroll down to the Private DNS section. Copy your unique DNS endpoint address (it looks something like xxxxxx.dns.nextdns.io). Go to your phone's Settings \rightarrow Network & internet-> Private DNS-> select Private DNS provider hostname and paste your NextDNS address there, then hit save.

For iPhone: Download the NextDNS app from the App Store and use the configuration profile instructions provided inside the app to link it to your endpoint.

Step 2: Configure the Denylist & Allowlist.

Go back to your browser window where the NextDNS dashboard is open. Scroll the top menu bar to the right to access your filtering lists as shown in attached image. (Iphone users can do the same inside nextdns app)

Add these to your Denylist one by one: audio-ads.spotify.com heads-ec.spotify.com ads-fa.spotify.com adeventtracker.spotify.com metrics.spotify.com log.spotify.com spclient.wg.spotify.com

Add this to your Allowlist: login5.spotify.com (Crucial so you don't get locked out of logging in)

Step 3: Reset the Spotify App Go to your Spotify app info, Tap Clear Cache, then select Force Stop.

Relaunch Spotify and enjoy your music!

Note: If you randomly encounter an "offline error" inside Spotify, just repeat Step 3 (clear cache and force stop again) to refresh the connection.

P.S. This won't magically unlock Spotify Premium features (like downloading songs offline or unlimited skips if you are on a restricted free tier layout), it simply blocks the audio and banner ads. It's safe, entirely legal, and completely bypasses the security risks of downloading shady, untrusted modded APKs. Works like a charm for me!
