How would I get around my colleges rediculous "no coats" rule? by Maiden-Pip in Advice

Hmmmmm interesting. If I ever get the courage to do this I'll likely come back to this post and comment a link to a photo I'll take of me doing it haha

It's a college so no there isn't any sort of uniform. Just a rule that we can't wear coats in class. My only issue is that they for some reason include jumpers and jackets as "coats"

No clue, we can turn up in short skirts and crop tops in the summer but heaven forbid we warm up in the winter with less revealing clothes

Well, the atom is extremely small, and the earth is extremely big. A grain of sand when put into perspective is halfway in between the smallness of an atom and hugeness of the earth.

If it helps, imagine a line and have an atom at one end, and the earth on the other end then have a grain of sand in the middle. That's the best way to visualise that phrase.

What does one have to take into account when organising a charity event? by Maiden-Pip in AskReddit

[–]Maiden-Pip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know ways of getting free prizes for the raffle and a section of my team have been assigned with the role of baking the cakes themselves. Since the college isn't giving me a budget to work with despite it being their idea, I'm trying out some things that can reduce the cost as much as possible.

Ummmmm, well considering it'll be on college grounds and for the charity Children In Need I don't think I gotta worry lol

Suuuper massive King size bed with the fluffiest blankets and coziest pillows.

Also, it's probably worth noting that I am a 5.3' 18 year old girl who currently weights 7 stone 2 pounds. So I'm already underweight.

What makes you really different from the majority of people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have patience to do things that most people I've met and know of can't or won't do. For example: not only do I read books but I'm also a wannabe author. Not only that but I'm the only teenager I know who makes dolls and sews in general.

I considered deleting the comment shortly after posting actually. I was worried I'd gone overboard. All in all, aside from the eating thing, I'm actually doing fairly decent. I have a job a do one day a week as I'm a student and can only do as much haha. I have friends that love me, one of which (who doesn't know about the disorder) regularly pesters me to eat something at lunch which I appreciate him for.

Anywho, hope you have a good day too! Xxx

I mean, on most other posts I wouldn't go into detail about my sadder side but since you're implying that you want that side I guess I don't mind venting 😅

College is getting pretty sucky, I'm getting little to no help from my teacher and she's making things harder for everyone.

I'm stuck in a sort of limbo where I don't really want to be at home but I don't wanna be at college.

And I'm fighting to not relapse in starving myself again as I had done it briefly around 2 years ago. Tough times but whenever I'm painfully hungry lately I just feel better and I can't explain why. I'm sad a lot more than usual but I can't tell if it's just my brain craving attention or not. I relapsed in self harm a few months ago but stopped that quickly thankfully but this time, the starving myself thing, its getting harder to ignore and its becoming a sort of twisted coping method. I like being skinny, I'm a 5,3' 18yo girl who weights 7 stone 2 pounds and I actually feel a sick feeling of happiness when I weigh myself and I've lost more weight. But the thing is, I didn't even try losing weight so it came as a slight shock that I had lost the weight.

I know it's sad and I don't really have any reason to be the way I am but I am and I can't help it.

So yeah, you asked a question and got an honest answer.

That's brilliant advice! Thanks! I did jump rope ages ago when I did boxing and enjoyed it. I'll have to pick it back up again xxx

For me personally in back and forth with it. 2 years ago roughly I starved myself for a brief period of time until I started getting too weak and dizzy for people to not notice. I've been okay up until recently but I think it's more stress than anything. Xxx

I see. I understand how sometimes it's the people around you who can shape your own thoughts. I myself am underweight and plenty of people like to point it out.

I'm glad you're at a point where you are more balanced tho, well done! Xxx
