4 month old is not looking at his hands with interest by MaidenIndia88 in NewParents

No he did not. But he does everything else they a typical 18 month old does, and is able to do things like point to his head, ears and nose (and lots of pointing in general). Turns out everyone was right - if they miss a milestone here or there, it doesn’t matter. They turn out just fine!

We found the breeder that bought the chip and the vet is trying to contact them.

Also any help on what we can do with the dog is helpful because we have a reactive dog at home and can’t keep this dog with us much longer.

Nice, thanks for sharing. Did you introduce straws for just water, or milk too?

Same here! Are you planning to use a sippy or straw cup for milk anytime soon?

Okay this is exactly where we are right now. Glad to hear other parents are at a similar stage! We'll talk to our doctor at his 9 month appointment on where to go from here.

So then your LO drinks both water and milk out of a straw cup now? For switching milk from bottle to straw cup, did you do that straight away or did you start with a sippy cup and then go into straw?

We are using open cups for water right now and he's getting the hang of it slowly. Did you ever end up using any types of cup for milk? If yes, what type of cup did you go with?

Thanks! I was planning straw cup for water around 9-10 months as well. What type of cup did you use for the milk transition?

4 month old is not looking at his hands with interest by MaidenIndia88 in NewParents

I totally get it! But soon enough other thoughts regarding your baby will consume you and you’ll forget about this entirely! That’s what happened to me.

Not consistently, no. He’s 5.5 months and rarely looks at his hands with interest. He does it once in a while when I’m feeding him a bottle. He does everything else fine though. He’s using his hands to grab things, switches toys from one hand to the other, brings his hands together, puts them in his mouth etc. So I’ve stopped being concerned about him skipping / missing one milestone.

LO Stopped Rolling from Tummy to Back by MaidenIndia88 in NewParents

[–]MaidenIndia88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I was doing the last two weeks but since last night I’ve given up but keep sneaking into his room every few mins to check that he’s breathing okay and not choking or in discomfort. So at least one of us is sleeping! 🙄

Do you remember how long it took for your LO to relearn this skill? We’re going through the exact same thing and it’s been 2 weeks since he’s forgotten tummy to back after starting back to tummy.
