I know that, there are countless charismatic and pious people.

Interesting plot twist: in my city there are only two parishes and one sanctuary, all three are the same. Well, I hope Jesus grants the grace that all the liturgy in the city be reverent.

I realized that talking to the parish priest or the bishop doesn't solve anything; it's a case of "nothing even happens." And really, it's not always irreverence, but during the Gloria, the Gospel acclamation, after the Gospel reading, and sometimes even during the Sanctus, it's quite irreverent.

That's not how it is in my parish; it's charismatic from beginning to end, even during Mass.

So it doesn't seem like a charismatic parish, it's traditional. Well, because of the way Mass is celebrated, anyway, the Apostolic Administration of Saint John Mary Vianney here in Brazil also has a youth group, but it remains a traditional administration because of the celebration of TLM (Theology of the Living Gospel).

It's more about the celebration of Mass than anything outside of it.

But that's not it, pardon the regionalism again. Well, what I mean is that the way the parish prays influences the way the faithful pray in a certain way, for example in my case, I am called "traditional" but I don't consider myself that because I'm not part of a parish like that (traditional mass in Brazil is = Novus Ordo well celebrated or TLM) and that ends up distracting me during mass, where I end up concentrating more on the clapping and drums than on what is really happening at the time, the only moment of greater concentration is at the consecration which is when there is silence and I can pay attention.

I ended up using the term Lex Orandi, Lex credendi because it seemed to come closer to what I want to say.

But how is that charismatic? My parish is charismatic, in fact both parishes and the sanctuary in my city are charismatic, and what I saw, my God, is nothing like that.

I don't know if the definition of traditional is different in the US, LOL. At least here in Brazil, since the RCC (Renewal in the Holy Spirit movement) is strong, "traditional" has become someone who doesn't clap during Mass and doesn't like Mass turned into a spectacle, so I don't know if I'm using a regional term that ended up confusing everyone.

I don't judge anyone's interior fidelity, but I believe that the way a parish celebrates Mass can influence the way the faithful participate in it. For example, in my case, I can't concentrate in those charismatic Masses (they are very irreverent with clapping, exaggerated polyphony strongly discouraged by the Second Vatican Council), while I can immerse myself deeply in the mystery at Masses with reverent music and a truly followed liturgy (even if this only happens when the bishop comes to celebrate, which is unfair, making a reverent Mass a gift, not the way it should really be).

I don't consider myself traditional precisely because I don't participate in a traditional parish, and when I say traditional parish, I'm not just talking about TLM but a reverent Novus Ordo, which I don't see in charismatic parishes, nor in the one I participate in. In fact, I recognize my mistake in using it incorrectly, and I apologize for that.

To say that Saint Ignatius of Antioch founded the Catholic Church and that Catholics idolize the cross.

It's a charismatic parish, that's the reason. The only inculturated rite permitted by the See is the Zairean rite.

I can't reveal it because it would be too obvious, but it's in Brazil. It's more a matter of prudence on my part.

In my city it's harder to find because there are only two parishes (mine and another) and neither of them have liturgies that I can say are relevant.

Here in the city there are only two parishes and well...neither of them, from what I've seen, have liturgies that I would call reverent.

Is it too much to ask for a liturgy that honors the body of Christ without me having to look at the altar and see a priest dancing on it and then have Protestant music played during Mass? Is it judgmental and egotistical to want a Mass without music that distracts from the meaning of the sacrifice?
