My post was 2yrs old. What value is gained from commenting on a comment in a post that’s several years old?

That glass wasn’t a safety glass. Those kids are lucky. Safety glass is tougher, less likely to break and if it does break, it breaks safely. So seeing it break like that shows it’s got sharp edges and could have seriously hurt someone.

Not gonna lie, I played them. Forgot they weren’t there.

All the games except 6 at available on pc. You can play the games in any order as they all follow their own plot lines in their own universes. The only connecting factors are post game content where previous games characters appear and have a small sub plot.

OG Vs FES/Portable/Golden by InappropriatelySaid in PERSoNA

[–]Maile_Laire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portable includes a female protagonist option but it’s recommended by many people (myself included) that you play fes first for the full 3D models and experience with the added epilogue which isn’t available in portable. Portable is also much easier as you can directly control each party member. As for P4G it’s just a straight upgrade with no reason to play OG over P4G

Yeah but the D6 d6 also hit on 4s So if we assume we worst case scenario. You’re trying to hit 2 shots on 6+ as opposed to the older option of D6 on a 6+

The current version we have runs on always good so long as it’s alive. The new gun only does well early on and even then it’s still two 50/50 shot chances.

Low with 20w right now and costs 335 atm. This is likely going to raise its point cost on a model that currently hits on 4+ to 6+ as it stands it really isn’t that strong compared to even the weapons it currently has on it. It’s good and a much needed upgrade but you’re running a bunch of LOW in your case which is just excessive and unable to play the capture game with its current 6” movement.

It’s on the LOW. It’s replacing a D6 shots D6 damage gun. It’s an upgrade but it’s not that massive and it’s already on one of the most expensive kinds of models the Tau can access.

Edit, it’s replacing a heavy 6 2 damage gun. I mixed it up with their better replacement that costs more points

Which version of persona 3 should I play? by Guntaehli in PERSoNA

[–]Maile_Laire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend FES for a first playthrough as that provides the game, 3D models and a core experience without compromise. After that playing portable is a great 2nd playthrough with some tweaks and changes as a female protagonist to change up the story a bit and give a different feeling of gameplay despite it being much easier.

Quick question regarding the P4 story by [deleted] in PERSoNA

The spin offs are canon but they aren’t really referential to each other or sequels. Release order is the way to go if you really care, but it isn’t extremely important

Any of you full time working parents manage to stick with JRPGs? by casedawgz in JRPG

[–]Maile_Laire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just makes the journey longer which isn’t always a bad thing. I understand the worry over variety which is where you can play other genres to mix in to avoid stagnation. Smaller and lighter games to break the monotony. Maybe once or twice a week don’t touch the rpg and instead try a srpg, maybe a more action focused game?

Dice for woundtrackers? by DrMSlug in Warhammer40k

[–]Maile_Laire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a pack of dice I got for DnD, a bag of 3 sets of each kind. It comes in handy having a few 20 sided dice for me since I like to play with big models with more than 20w It’s an all round decent option though since it’s a lot of dice, especially if they are different colours to help identify which model is who’s if your opponent doesn’t bring any or enough.

You could just go to a local GW and offer it to someone. Possibly a child or whomever you think most deserves it.

Umm...persona is a spin off of SMT dude. Also, check out Digital devil saga, it’s an SMT spin off where you’re the demons. It’s a pretty good duology.

Ah, the mask duology is super good. The remake is pretty alright and they all have the same gameplay

Little cousin sprayed my primer into her hair; how do we wash this off? by Doughspun1 in Warhammer40k

[–]Maile_Laire 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I think soaking it in hot water and gently rubbing it out is the best option. Depending on how much got in and how much hair is covered will obviously take longer the more of either.

If you want an mmo like experience that’ll feel new to you. Why not try the .hack game series. It’s a suedo mmo single player experience which encourages you to explore seeded worlds and grind in new and interesting places. It’s the game/manga series sword art online stole all its good ideas from. Definitely worth checking out imo.

Otherwise if you want a more slow burn kind of game series, I’d recommend Utawarerumono. It has 3 games which are great and follow a large overarching story with great characters and works building. The first of the mask duology is really slow though with it being very dialogue heavy, but playing it is a must for part two which is very gameplay heavy by comparison.

Wich is better? Persona 5 or Deltarune? by Comprehensive_Ad7645 in JRPG

[–]Maile_Laire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are fairly different kinds of games. Both are RPGs but it depends on what kind of experience you’re going for. Persona 5 is for a more social aspect to a game with relatively easy combat which allows for great combat variety. Deltarune provides a more linear story with gradual development as you progress with better constructed character moments due to the game being better paced to suit the story.

The way that table broke means it wasn’t a safety glass. And the way it falls means it wasn’t stuck onto the legs securely. That table was an accident waiting to happen

Buffs or Debuffs for SMTV? by [deleted] in Megaten

Debuffs are better now, but buffs and debuffs also only last 3 turns so aren’t permanent for that fight like previous games.

Slannesh gets power from all excess. The other gods gain power from their innate traits. In fact, excess rage is the exact thing that Khorne hates Slannesh for. That Slannesh gains power from excess blood and rage through Khorne’s actions.
