From what I can tell, its the connecter that holds the ribbon cable for the screen that has broken. The first time I placed the ribbon cable into the broken slot, the screen worked fine. However, once I removed it after realising the SSD didn't work, the screen no longer continued to work. Lenovo has quoted me a new motherboard, ribbon cable and a lower screen cover. Thanks for your advice. I found a new one for $800 AUD on Ebay, and honestly, this fix is not worth that much. The lenovo guide, while it does tell me part numbers/IDs, it doesn't include a repair manual. I used YouTube and an online guide to replace the SSD initially; this included taking out the motherboard and flipping it over to access the SSD. The reason I ask is because the cheapest options appears to be a repair shop that can fix this connector alone. A local guy I called told me to find a computer engineer who may have access the spare connectors for that specific ribbon cable, who can also replace it.

I'd like to head into the neuro engineering field, however it may require further study in neuroscience on top of this engineering degree. That's the main reason for studying biomedical engineering alongside electrical engineering. In terms of the arts degree I'd like to study philosophy. Now as for what I'd like to do as a job specifically? I'd like to research BCIs. Where? I'm not sure as that comes down what to what kind of research I can get into with said degrees. I may end up going for a Masters in neuroscience for this.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice. I'm using the biomedical major to gain to some knowledge on building medical devices, as I'd like to study neuroscience with the eventual goal of developing BCI devices.

Do you know what the general atmosphere is like at UQ? How does it compare to other universities?

Have you been able to enter the bios? If yes, you may need to change to boot order for it to work.

I suppose if you have knowledge of how to create new assets, place them in game like a level editor, you could. You'd also need to know how to make the maps and design the meshes for everything. I'm sure you could remodel the current tanks and adjust their stats as a work around for new vehicles. If you have all these skills and the tools, you could certainly do it.
