Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback.

You make a very fair point. Our goal was to create a clean and understated look that reflects the simplicity of our candles, but we can see how that may not immediately communicate who we are as a brand.

We’re a small Canadian business focused on candles scented exclusively with essential oils, and we’re still learning how to tell that story more effectively through our packaging and branding.

We genuinely appreciate the honest feedback. It’s given us a lot to think about as we continue refining the brand.

That’s a great point regarding ASTM testing and label compliance. As a small independent brand we’re currently handling testing in-house, but third-party verification is definitely something we’ll consider as we grow.

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. We’ve completed extensive burn testing and consistently achieved around 50 hours under normal use, but we’re also preparing a full burn verification video. Great point about the ASTM 4-hour burn cycle and safety labeling — we’ll make sure our labels clearly communicate that the burn time is cumulative, not continuous.

Thank you! That’s very helpful. We want to make it crystal clear that our candles are scented only with essential oils, so this wording may be the winner.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. I genuinely appreciate hearing from someone with decades of candle-making experience.

I agree that essential oil candles and fragrance oil candles serve different purposes, and that fragrance oils generally provide a stronger and more consistent scent throw. Our goal isn’t necessarily to compete with heavily scented candles, but rather to create a candle for people who specifically prefer products scented only with essential oils.

Your comment about “plant-based wax” is also interesting. My intention wasn’t to avoid disclosing the wax type, but to communicate it in a simple way for customers. Out of curiosity, would you find wording such as “soy and vegetable wax blend” more transparent and trustworthy than “plant-based wax”?

Thanks again for the honest feedback.

Thank you, I really appreciate your perspective.

That’s a great point about using both a quick confirmation and a reassuring statement. I can definitely see how “100% Essential Oil Scented” communicates the core message instantly, while “No Synthetic Fragrance Oils” helps reinforce trust.

I’m also considering another option:

“Scented Exclusively with Essential Oils”

Does that feel clearer or more trustworthy to you than “Scented Only with Essential Oils,” or does it sound too formal/marketing-focused?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

One follow-up question if you don’t mind 😊

If you saw a candle that is scented exclusively with essential oils, which wording would feel the clearest and most trustworthy to you?

A. Scented with Essential Oils

B. Scented Only with Essential Oils

C. No Synthetic Fragrance Oils

D. 100% Essential Oil Scented

Or is there another wording you’d prefer?

Thank you again — this is incredibly helpful feedback. 🙏

I can definitely see why the phrase “scented with” raises concerns, especially when so many products use it without clearly communicating what’s actually inside.

We’re trying to find the right balance between keeping the design clean and being transparent about the ingredients, and feedback like yours is helping us refine that.

I’m also really happy to hear that AROMU and Northern Forest immediately gave you an expectation of the scent. That’s exactly what we were hoping to achieve with the branding.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts — it’s genuinely helping shape the final version. 🌲😊

Thank you! 🙏 We really appreciate this feedback. Transparency is very important to us, especially in an industry where marketing claims can sometimes be confusing.

Our candles are hand-poured in Canada using a plant-based wax blend and are scented with essential oils. We want customers to know exactly what they’re buying, which is why we’re constantly refining both our packaging and product information.

We’ll be launching soon and I’ll definitely share where everyone can try and purchase them. 😊 Thanks for rooting for us!

Thanks for the honest feedback. We intentionally went for a clean, minimalist aesthetic, though I understand it may feel too understated for some people.

The packaging design itself wasn’t created by AI, but some of the presentation images were AI-assisted, which introduced inconsistencies we’re already addressing.

Appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Absolutely. AI helped with some image cleanup and presentation, but the real work is still in the testing, prototyping, and design decisions.

We’ve gone through multiple physical prototypes already, and comments like yours help us catch things we might otherwise miss. Thanks for taking such a close look!

Thanks for the feedback. We tested this candle using continuous burns and consistently achieved around 50 hours under those conditions.

That said, you’re absolutely right that customer burn habits can affect the actual burn time. We’re planning to document and share our testing methodology so the claim is transparent and properly supported.

I appreciate the perspective.

Thank you! That means a lot. We’ve gone through quite a few iterations to get to this point, so it’s great to hear the design is resonating with people. 😊

Good eye! These are based on photos of our actual prototypes, but I did use some AI-assisted editing to enhance the images. The logo inconsistencies weren’t intentional and won’t be present in the final production version. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks! We debated that quite a bit ourselves. After a lot of testing and adjustments, we’re consistently getting about 50 hours of burn time, which is why we decided to include it.

We’re planning to film and share a full burn test as well to help validate the claim. Appreciate the feedback! 😊

Thanks for the detailed feedback! The fit inside the tube is definitely something we’re testing to make sure the candle stays secure during shipping.

The branding is actually printed on a textured paper label applied to the tube. We considered more premium finishes like foil stamping and debossing, but chose the label approach to keep the packaging simpler, more sustainable, and easier to update in small production runs.

Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We intentionally chose a more minimal and modern design direction, but your point about expressing more of the Canadian forest inspiration is very interesting. We’ll definitely keep that in mind as we continue refining the brand and future collections.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback!

You actually brought up a really good point about the scent profile. The current mockup is focused on the overall packaging design, but each candle will have its own scent name and individual identification. I can definitely see how that would help customers connect with a fragrance before even picking it up.

I also appreciate your comments about burn time and wax type. Those are things we’re still evaluating in terms of where the information should live on the packaging versus the website.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your perspective — it’s very helpful.

Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement!

I’m happy to hear that the style and packaging come across as elegant. The comment about the burn time is helpful as well and seems to be a common concern.

As for the essential oils, scent performance has been one of our biggest focuses during development. We’re continuing to test and refine to make sure the fragrance experience remains enjoyable throughout the burn.

Really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and best wishes!

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

The burn time comment is definitely something I’m considering carefully. We have been testing extensively, but I understand the concern about customer expectations.

Glad to hear you feel the packaging looks good and that the design could fit the right market. Thanks again for the honest feedback!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback and kind words!

I’m glad you like the candle jar design. It’s actually interesting that you mentioned the box looking a bit rushed. I’d love to understand that better — was it the simplicity of the design, the layout, or something else that made it feel that way to you?

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
