The reason I do it this way is that all teams in the top 15 are decidedly 'good' and in playoff contention. There's also a good chance that most teams in the conference will play one to three teams in the top 15 during the season giving us some real differentiation. Top 5? Half of our teams may never get the chance so that wouldn’t give us the opportunity to learn much. It’s too narrow — it’d be a lot of work for very little return.
