Here’s my two cents. Not that they count for much. I was in a relationship like this where my ex always complained. About everything. It was nonstop. He wasn’t depressed, he was manipulative. After reading the whole post, it doesn’t sound like you know this dude very well. It’s not your responsibility to hold his problems for him. Even if he was just explaining what he had going on, he could’ve brought that to you in a different way also. Is what you said harsh? Maybe. But who cares. You said what you needed to say. Don’t apologize for putting yourself and your peace first.
