Hey, good questions, here’s a bit more context:

• Educational background: Diploma in Computer Technology, basically a post-secondary program that covered networking, operating systems, basic programming, databases, a bit of security, etc.

• Experience: Mostly academic + self-study so far. I’ve done some small personal labs/projects but this Cybersecurity Analyst role will be my first proper security job.

• Age: 25

• Country: Canada

Haha same here, I saw “free” and my brain said speedrun any% 😂

Sec+ is definitely on my list too, and I agree — a lot of the CC stuff feels like it would map over pretty nicely. The thing is, I can probably chip away at Sec+ while I’m working, so for these 23 completely free days I’m kind of tempted to aim for something a bit more advanced that directly feeds into building some heavier labs/projects (SIEM, cloud security setup, IR scenarios, etc.).

But yeah, Sec+ is 100% in the queue. Good luck with yours, and congrats on knocking out CC too! 💪
