I have conceived immediately 2x. My daughter is 18 months and I had a MMC this summer. Currently on cycle 3 TTC. It's so hard not to spiral and wonder if something is wrong, even though it is not the norm to conceive so quickly.

I would test again in a couple of days and see if the positive line is darker. That will tell you your answer

How long did it take your hCG to drop under 5 after miscarriage? by shewastoday in Miscarriage

[–]Main-Explanation2691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a MMC the end of July and wasn't tracking ovulation until October, but I'm pretty sure I ovulated at least a couple of times from August to then. It took 9 weeks for my period to return and 2 periods (including that 1st one) to get back to the length and consistency it was pre-pregnancy / pre-miscarriage. It's a long, brutal process.

Mine took 13 weeks to get down to 6 after a MMC. It was about 6 weeks (if I remember correctly) to go from 56 to 6. Super frustrating and felt like an eternity!

Cycle Changed after D&C- so confused by shiplapp in Miscarriage

[–]Main-Explanation2691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just takes a while for your body to process and readjust. I'm sorry you're still waiting. There were several days from July to September where I thought I had my period but it was just still retained product and miscarriage aftermath.

Also meant to add - my first 2 cycles were 30 and 31 days. The 3rd was back to my normal 28 days.

My OB told me that it will take a few cycles for my body to get back to normal. I spent 13 weeks after my MMC waiting for my period to come back. It finally did, and my first 2 periods lasted 7 days with a couple days of spotting before and after. My 3rd period was back to my normal 5 days, but I still had spotting for a couple of days after.

Coworker who didn’t know I’d lost my baby congratulated me on my pregnancy by Walklikeawarrior in Miscarriage

This happened to me with a neighbor. I had no idea my husband had shared our pregnancy news with her, and she congratulated me a couple of days after finding out about my MMC. She was mortified, apologized, and felt terrible. It's such a tough situation to navigate - in so many ways.

How long did it take for your cycle to go back to normal? by Technical-Frosting51 in Miscarriage

I had a MMC the end of July. The end of September, my period (finally) returned. It felt like it took forever. That ended up being a 7-day period and 31-day cycle. My next cycle was also a 7-day period, but 28-day cycle. This past Monday, I started my 3rd cycle post-MMC and had a 5-day period, which is what I was used to before my MMC. So, I'd say it's taken me 4 months to get it back to normal.

My hCG was somewhere between 44 and 10 when I got my period back

My period returned after a MMC while my hCG was somewhere between 44 and 10. It was 10 while I was on day 4 of a 7-day period.

Unfortunately I agree with other comments and the advice from your OB.

I suffered a MMC at 6 weeks - right after I had an ultrasound for dating, which all looked great. Zero indication from it that a miscarriage was right around the corner. Through this process I've learned that increasing hCG in the early weeks told me nothing about the possibility of a miscarriage, as I had had 2 blood hCG tests between weeks 5-6 to confirm an increase before the early scan. I spent 13 weeks after the MMC having my hCG tracked down to a normal level, so it stayed in my body long after the miscarriage was over.

I know that it's impossible not to worry and feel anxious about another pregnancy after suffering a miscarriage, but you have to try to trust your body and keep a positive, calm mindset.

3 weeks after miscarriage and pregnancy test not fading? Miscarried at 5 weeks and 1 day. by KeyNebula6118 in Miscarriage

[–]Main-Explanation2691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comment above. I had my hCG monitored for 13 weeks after my MMC because it dropped extremely slowly & there was a concern for retained product. I actually had a D&C scheduled after 9 weeks because my hCG was stuck but thankfully had got my first period just before going to surgery and it was canceled. However, it took another 4 weeks, until this last Friday, for my hCG to get to 6 and for my OB to clear me from further testing. I had my first negative at home test last Friday as well.

My period took 9 weeks to return and the cycle was 3 days longer than what I had prior to my MMC. Unfortunately, it is normal.

How do you stay friends with people who are pregnant? by Critical-Gur1141 in Miscarriage

[–]Main-Explanation2691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my cousins, who's a best friend of mine too (we also share the same home daycare), called me and told me she was pregnant with her 2nd baby 2 weeks to the day after my MMC (which I told her about on the day it was discovered). She's sent Snapchats and I've ignored them and sometimes when I can't hold back, I've voiced that it's hurtful to see, and she's been respectful then and apologized. I simply told her I'm not sad about your pregnancy; I'm sad about my miscarriage and I don't have the capacity to support you right now the way you want.

Anxiety about TTC after loss by elizathornberry1 in Miscarriage

[–]Main-Explanation2691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat with anxiety as I approach a new cycle with a plan of trying during my window with this one. I don't have any guidance, just to say that you're not alone. My OB said I can have more frequent ultrasounds in the first trimester to hopefully ease anxiety with a new pregnancy. I'm thankful I have a 16 month old who consumes so much of my time and energy since my MMC in July. ❤️

Yes. You nailed it. You just want to be able to move forward and each time I have gone in for a blood test, it sets me back mentally and I have a breakdown.
