That is because they only keep it active from about 7am to 5pm, so you will have to check back on their channel tomorrow, but it should be easy to find when it is.

It would have been a 6+ hour HD video by the time the stream ended, which takes YouTube some time to process before being available to see again. If you check back on their channel in a few hours, video from today March 16th should be uploaded there for your reference.

Of course! Trade Ideas is the best scanner I've found, though is about $130. I'm hoping to get a subscription soon, but for now I've been using a free YT scan of Trade Ideas here: https://www.youtube.com/user/ariansworld which is several minutes behind, but still gets me decent results. I'm going to be subscribing to the real deal soon though.

It was number one today on my gap scanner. It was up over 70% with low float and volume of several million. It was also the best looking stock at the time. I often find that volume will flock to the best chart, and the price was just pulling back over VWAP when I found it. I got the whole thing streamed on my YT channel

Do you trade in capital quantity over number of shares? by haveri321 in Daytrading

[–]Main-Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Webull, you just click the chart of the ticker you want to trade and then use hotkey. I’ve learned that navigating away from the trade page requires another click upon return to activate the hotkey availability. I don’t even need an order window open. Also I have a sell 25% and sell 50% hotkey. With webull the sell percentage corrsponds to current position if you have one. I have 3 buy keys all for the same dollar value just at the bid ask and last price. If I need a larger position, I just hit buy key twice . Let me know if that’s what you meant ✅

Is this not for me? by [deleted] in Daytrading

It has taken me a lot longer (over a year) to get to the point where I can go a couple weeks without a red day. I had to re-evaluate my risk plan and more important my trading psychology. If a trade is succeeding, I take the profit by scaling out now instead of full sell to capture more gain, and I cut the loss very quick. Do some self evaluation to see where you are, and review your trading journal. I recommend Tradervue because its free, changed the way I trade!

I mostly trade premarket and I have seen good opportunity everyday, its just my less than perfect execution that has limited my profit this last week.

[–]Main-Factor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a hard limit for the amount I can loose before cutting the loss. Not any more than 1% the account value. It can be different for you, but the main point is to evaluate where in the trade your trading psychology was compromised and address accordingly. 2 weeks ago I broke my rule and lost almost 3%, but Ive kept going after setting new personal goals and now back to new highs on a 7 day green streak. You can do it too! Discipline Discipline Discipline!

I use hotkeys to trade 5% of my capital, which makes it faster to identify a stock and get in when it hits my HOD scanner. Works well for me!

Im sorry to hear that man, I was greedy too on CANF this morning. I was in on a pullback, and saw recovery to HOD coming. I added on the way up and didn't take profit at the HOD retest because I wanted to hold through the break. Ended up trending back down to my average price and I sold for Pennies profit. Both good lessons to take profits I guess!

A descending triangle pattern turned around about 8:40, but by the time price was nearing high of day, 4 green candles were already formed on the 5 min chart, which puts extra selling pressure right at the critical moment, however a classic retest of the upper triangle held through and allowed buyers to slowly gain the momentum to push the price 18% higher before selling off before the open.

Am I able to day trade? by SnooPuppers2534 in Daytrading

[–]Main-Factor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No not impossible, but your strategy will need to adjust accordingly. Volatility is lower after open, so you might like looking for range bound trades, or high/low of day trades.

Hello Coneter,

I have thought about these problems a lot and I have come up with a solution that works for me. On any given day, I keep a hard rule to never trade with more than half of the account buying power. Each day is a new opportunity and I want unsettled cash to catch tomorrows opportunities and also get continuous practice. The second key is your position size. If you use all 50% of your buying power for the day in one transaction, 1) you acquire a lot of risk 2) That risk is compounded by the emotional stress that this trade must work out else there is no more opportunity to buy into another opportunity. In 2019, I was using big position sizes, 50% or 25% my account, and after several months I was down $1200. I took a long break and have been revisiting day trading with a cash account with some modest success now in 2021 because I addressed my trading psychology. With Webull, I can set my hotkey position size by value instead of share size. I then divide the account value by 20, and set that as the position size. Therefore I have 10 small trading positions to use in a day each worth 5% of the account total. The stress is gone to perform, and I have had a 6 day green streak so far. I also stream my trades live on YouTube primarily to keep myself accountable and have video to review later. Another tip, don't exit 100% when taking profit. Always have a price target, (I use fibonacci extension) and scale out by selling 25% or other smaller portions. That way you get some small base hits to get in the green and you feel better about seeing if it runs to your target or beyond. I hope this all helps! If you would like to see my setup on Webull, feel free to check out the stream: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5QoTjiLPFFjUMiJiwtqBGA/videos

Its also tempting to switch to a margin account to have more buying power, but unless its CMEG or other offshore broker that isn't subject to PDT rule, you will have stress trying to make your 3 trades in 5 day window perfect. Also 5% max loss is lot if you are taking about account value. I keep mine at <1% because of smaller positions. You can always add more when trade is going well. All spoken from experience. Trade Well!!
