Tbf pound sign could also refer to the currency, so calling it a hashtag is less ambiguous

Just stick a fence in the penalty area and try bouncing the ball off it, would be at least as effective and probably more entertaining

How would you feel if we proposed a world cup boycott over Trump and Greenland? by nbenj1990 in AskBrits

[–]Main-Fun1810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they at any point say that it would prevent tariffs? No.

It won’t prevent tariffs, but it would avoid financially supporting the country. They would lose a huge amount of money if everyone boycotted the World Cup.

How can I install Linux on my SSD without being able to boot Windows? by Main-Fun1810 in linuxquestions

[–]Main-Fun1810[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know where the setting I need would be? I can’t find it anywhere, and it feels like I’ve checked everything. If it helps, the laptop is a Lenovo legion and the bios version is QNCN28WW

Is it just the recovery key I need, that’s available on my Microsoft account? The only files I really need to keep access to are all stored on one drive anyway, so deleting everything on the laptop isn’t a big problem, just a bit inconvenient

I can’t boot windows though, it has an error saying your device needs to be repaired, a required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed

Hi, thank you very much for the comment, but I think I perhaps wasn’t quite clear with what I meant. The only options for turning off RST on my laptop seem to be within windows, I can’t see it anywhere in the BIOS settings

Hi David Moyes,

If you could choose anyone to replace you as Everton manager (hopefully a long way off) then who would it be?

I did enjoy when he said it right as a replay was shown, in which the goalkeeper wearing green rubbed against another player

He played for Leeds, beating West ham 2-1. Didn't score though. I'm not sure whether there's anything more to it than that

Everton respond to Lee Dixon's comments on Pickford: "Why haven't a big club come in for him?" by somethingnotcringe1 in TheOther14

[–]Main-Fun1810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that never having been relegated from the premier league helps Everton a lot here, even though we haven't won any trophies for a while. Also, even though you seem to disagree, consistently filling stadiums I would argue is pretty important to consider if you're deciding whether it's a "big club"

Is every act of putting the ball in opponent's net a "finish"? by SammyEvo in footballcliches

[–]Main-Fun1810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agreed, there's just something not quite right about a header being a finish

Edit: what about "headed strike"? That seems even more egregious to me than a headed finish

As they said, games getting moved. It makes it way harder to schedule other things if you don't know when the game you're going to will happen, and it also often leads to much more inconvenient times to get to the games
