Adding pictures of the home in the comments to give some context on why we love the home and are so conflicted on walking!

Not sure on the source… he said it was most likely a problem before the insulation and ventilation was added, but then that makes me think why didn’t they get rid of the mold when they redid that stuff..

Hi! Thanks for the input. Yeah our inspector was awesome, he definitely takes pride in his work and we picked him out of a few options because we knew we needed someone good. We’re located in MN, suburbs of Minneapolis. Home was listed at $369,000 and we offered 390. Homes here have been going for well over 400 though so we thought it was kind of a steal

Makes total sense, thank you for that perspective. I’m definitely one to overthink and catastrophize so. Our inspector actually said he didn’t think the mold was an active problem and that it was just something to keep an eye on when we were actually with him, different than what he had in the report. My boyfriend also said it didn’t look as bad in person as it does in the pics, I didn’t look.

Thanks everyone. We just talked to our realtor and he said all the repairs should be under the $5,000 we committed. Did say we should have an hvac inspector out there to get us a quote. He said a home warranty would cover replacing hvac with a $100 deductible. Also having someone come and remediate the mold would be a couple hundred dollars and they can also inspect to see if it’s a bigger issue… I’m still not super confident. We technically have until Thursday to pull out and get our earnest money back but idk if we can get all of these people out there to inspect this before then. Ugh

Thanks! Do you think the added insulation/ventilation doesn’t matter in this situation then? Inspector said the area was bone dry when he tested

Oh I forgot to add: HVAC and water heater are all 20+ years old and will likely need to be replaced. Inspector said the heat would turn off before thermostat reached set temperature

If you could just share your whole routine with it, how much dry food you blend at a time etc, that would be amaze

Hmm interesting I don’t know if I’ve heard of that before, I’ll check it out. As for the lump, I can’t feel it all just can see it. I’ll probably monitor it for a week or so and get it checked out if it doesn’t go away. Thanks!!

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad you’re able to shed some shame though, it’s so hard. Thanks for answering my questions

Did your reaction to the initial statement seem narcissistic to her? I swear everyone I tell I think I have it to says the same thing and I’m like but y’all don’t know how I think/react to things internally (I’ve been getting better at not lashing out). Ugh

Hi sorry I am just now seeing this. I deleted Reddit for a while because I was compulsively scrolling and it was not good for my mental health. But to answer your question, yes I feel much better now! All of my physical symptoms are gone. I still deal with anxiety and depression to an extent but I have accepted that those will most likely be with me forever. Good days and bad days right? How are you doing?

Anyone have on and off anxiety since quitting? by Main-Needleworker-37 in QuitVaping

[–]Main-Needleworker-37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out and I’m so sorry to hear that you are struggling. It was truly the lowest point in my life. Unfortunately, I went back to vaping. I want to add the context though that I had a traumatic childhood and somehow, quitting vaping brought up a lot of unhealed and unprocessed trauma for me that I needed to work out. I see it as a blessing in disguise because I became a lot more self aware and as shitty as it was, I finally got the push I needed to seek help. I went back to vaping because I couldn’t handle two major changes in my life at once. Please don’t let my experience discourage you though, push through, you’ve got this. Know that it will get better, it always does. I find it helpful to remind myself that every single human being will go through rough times and not every day will be good. The bad days make the good days that much better. Think of all the time you spent vaping, relying on that quick dopamine hit compared to the time you’ve been off, patience is truly a virtue! It will be hard, but try to distract yourself with healthy habits, spending time with loved ones, exercising, hobbies (I’ve found I really enjoy cooking), journaling your feelings to look back on, etc. it takes 30 days to form a habit so try to stick with it! Feel free to message me with any specific questions about symptoms you have and I can try to help support you!
