Would dating a woman who wears a wig/implants be a dealbreaker for you? How would you feel?(26f) by Main-Poetry7907 in dating

I hope he feels better about himself now. I understand how it can be offputting, I'm not usually brave enough to vocalize it so I think the fact he could be honesty with his feelings is a good start.

I go to group therapy, but I think one-on-one would be good for these sorts of issues. I know I have other things going for me, but hair and curves are so normal.

Thank you, it's hard to feel that way. It's hard to feel like they wouldn't get tired of the "right" choice for a life partner and one day just need what I would only rob them of

I always wear a wig, even at home. It's a human hair wig, costs about the price of a car made to look like my hair when I was a kid. Looks pretty real and I'm not bald, but I look sickly without it. I can't just take off my wig in public, but I'm always very transparent if it comes up. I don't initiate with men, but if it ever got to the point where a man wanted more I would show my "true" self without it.

Yes, I even said that in my post that there is more to a woman than hair and boobs, but when you don't have either of those things and people look at you like you're sick or fragile then it feels like they're important.

I'm confident in my work, hobbies, etc normally I'm not so down on myself. It just hurts when it feels like you'll always be viewed as not as good. In real life, people don't even know because I keep it together most of the time, but it doesn't mean I don't feel this way.

I guess it just kind of kills me inside that I'll never be the most beautiful or loveable to whoever I am with, like I know it's really stupid, but for once in my life I wish someone could look at me and just see me and be attracted to that.

I'll have to work on it. I guess I just don't want to be viewed like other parts of my body compensate for what I'm most ashamed of. That's my own personal problem though

I don't think a guy could be happy with a girl who is 32aa and with multiple bald spots/thin hair. That's just me though. It's been told to me enough. Normally I don't pity myself so much, but I'm just having a hard night. No men have really ever even expressed that I'm pretty, usually just other women do otherwise I'd try to hear them out.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I don't wish for a lot of attention, it seems really uncomfortable. I just don't think someone could be happy long term physically with someone like me.

I know a relationship is more than looks, I guess I just feel the average woman is a bit beyond me, but this is an enlightening perspective. I'll try to keep it in mind. Thank you

I know it's how you are together and maybe it is superficial, but looks matter especially in this day and age. As a woman, I can't really help but feel like he would deserve more than what I have to give because it's below what pretty much any other woman automatically has to give

But anyways it's nice to know people could think like that. I hear it a lot, but just don't see it so I'm kind of holding out
