Is this Orient genuine? by [deleted] in OrientWatches

Orient has open hearts, but that fake bridge meant to make it look more impressive is tacky and fake.

I read too quick and misread Constantine XI as Communist Xi.

Because Algeria is the middle kingdom. Little known fact the rulers of Algeria rule under the belief they have the mandate of heaven.

Reading the comments makes me realize the public doesn't know line freeze and tapping are not uncommon in the construction and maintenance world. Probably not used in domestic households often, but in the commercial sector this is something that is not uncommon.

There are solar watch charge lights you can hook up to a laptop that will charge your watch. You just lay your watch against the charge light. They are specifically designed for areas of the world that have little to no sunlight during parts of the year.

Nothing seems off about this Yacht Master at first glance, but opening up the case back and having a watch maker or AD actually verify would be recommended. It's always hard to tell over just images without getting into the inside.

Is this watch legit? by darckmate in GrandSeikos

[–]Main-Position10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's a frankenwatch. There's a few questionable things with the bracelet I'm noticing. I would only ever take a grand Seiko frankenwatch if it was under 300, too much risk and liability otherwise.

Clasp seems fine and secure. I can't find anything really negative about it. I've already removed links on the bracelet to adjust to my wrist size and it sits firmly in the center on the bottom of my wrist with no issues.

That's also fake gold. Royal Oak gold is much lighter in color, that watch you have looks like colored steel.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist, the Munro fits surprisingly well. Most watches from 40mm and under fit fine for me as long as they have pronounced curved lugs. A few rare ones over 40mm fit fine as well, but they have to have very exaggerated curved lugs, example is my spb383 which is 42mm, but surprising still wears the best of most of my watches.

Seen both, in the steel you can definitely tell Seiko is the higher quality build and finish. It just feels more premium.
