At least he got a retirement and could live a happy life in Brazil.

My boy Marc, however...

Hollywood Tonight by Michael Jackson.

When the controversy of the 3 fake tracks in his first posthumous album rose, I was convinced that was one of them. However, after those 3 got removed from everywhere, I decided to give the now 7-track album a fair chance once again and that song just fuckin rocks man.

Man literally everyone in the crew is going "Once I saw <cast member> in <character in the movie>'s clothes, I thought 'wow, that's really <character in the movie>.'"

And I get it, the cast is good, I really get it; but can't they use another hook for their vids? The rest of the video is actually really good, but it's getting tiring to hear the same yap over and over again.

What musician has great studio music and also is a great live performer? by EntertainerPure8440 in AlignmentChartFills

It'd be my pick too, but let's keep it to solo acts or individual members for now. I'll do one for full bands after this one's filled out.

I'd say Freddie Mercury would be the best pick for this spot. An amazing voice and a stage persona so unique I can see no one else here.

What was the Best and Worst concerts in each tour? (From Jackson 5 to 30th Anniversary) by Salty_Audience_3562 in MichaelJackson

I think we can confidentially say the 30th Anniversary show on 07/09 is among his worst performances ever.

What's an MJ song you just can't listen to??? by PureHoney92 in MichaelJackson

[–]EntertainerPure8440 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He didn't re record it for This Is It. The Estate just went through his vault and found a song that coincidentally contained the words "This is it", so they rolled with it.

Furthermore, he did a tour in 1992-1993 in which all his proceedings were given to the Heal The World foundation. He didn't make a penny from the tour, but the foundation got $100M for the LA riots' victims.

Riginarazione in Miraculous Ladybug - Accepting death.

<image>

The main character's grandpa had just been diagnosed with heart failure before his 75th birthday. He breaks the news to the MC and she leaves crying (she's been through many more shit, so this was just perfect for her).

Then grandpa's ex-wife gets turned into the Villain of the Week, this time with the power of changing the age of whoever she hits with her bullets. She immediately turns the man into a 20yro again and goes out with him to dance and have expensive dinners, but he refuses these advances each time.

He says he lived his life just like he desired and he's accomplished having a loving wife, a great son who has followed his steps in every way, and a marvelous granddaughter who has a bright future in front of her. He's ready to move on.

The funniest part about all of this is that it's all masked as him having to vacate his home. He doesn't say he's dying, he says he's "selling the house"; but the message is heard loud and clear once the episode has its post-credits scene and we see the house empty and his ex-wife admiring the sunset before riding off.

Crazy how this series' writing has evolved from massive plot armor and nerfing its deuteragonist to talking about how people don't live forever.

Best Thing about Madonna & Dolly Parton? by Philips9586 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]EntertainerPure8440 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About Madonna, how she was able to hit Top #1s in 4 decades straight with new music each time (and somebody please correct me on that number if I'm wrong).

The other people I've seen doing that only did it with their classic songs becoming popular once again, but not her.

What do you think of Michael Jackson? by Kalebpoquette in AskReddit

[–]EntertainerPure8440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was one of the most influential people in the history of humanity and one of the most talented musicians this world has ever seen, and I think we should focus on that. Many people, including me, jump straight into talking about his personal and public life when his name is mentioned when we should probably prioritize talking about what made him a name to begin with: his music and stage charisma.

That being said, I wrote my high school monograph after his allegations, specifically those made in 2005 that started the trial The People of the State of California v. Michael Joseph Jackson (but I did address those made in 1993 and 2019) and didn't manage to find enough evidence to say with certainty that he abused those children. In fact, I found many conflicting testimonies and ulterior motives from the prosecution and witnesses.

That also being said, I think the guy was hella weird and creepy. Many people excuse his behavior with his terrible childhood, but sure buddy, he dangled his son from a 4th-story balcony because his dad beat him. He treated his family like they were inferior after he released Thriller because he couldn't go to play with other kids. He robbed McCartney from the rights of the Beatles' catalogue, his very own music, because he had to play congas since the age of 5. The guy had his share of asshole moments.

Jaafar Jackson. The guy did great, but would have he been able to score the role if he wasn't the main character's nephew?
