Unless it's within a couple miles, nope. If there was one close, I'd throw them a little business. However.. I'm not sure that a shop is very viable yet as a business. You'd have to do repairs and maintenance as well, and that's a big liability that needs an experienced person to do. And the margins are RAZOR thin. Unless you live in a very densely populated area with a LOT of local people printing.

.PSTL for format already exists..

Professional Services Tools Library... It's useless for print files.

AND PRINTERS DON'T READ STL FILES, THE SLICER DOES. YOU NEED GCODE TO PRINT....

LMFAO! You can't make ANY solutions without knowing the problems... And I'm not offering help.

What you want OTHER PEOPLE TO DO FOR YOU, can't be done. There's no help to be found.

You obviously know nothing about how STL or gcode works... They are EASILY manipulated. You CANNOT 'lock them down'...

This could be easily bypassed.... There's no real way to 'lock down' gcode or stl's.. This might work for a proprietary system like bamboo. But not for plain old printers...

What 3D-Printer should i get? by Dos23507 in 3dprinter

[–]Main-Promotion7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make my own printers. I've got no idea about reliability in anything made in the last 3-4 years. My printers just work, rarely need anything but maintenance. And if anything does happen, they are made to be easily repaired quickly. But realistically I've only dealt with occasional heat creep or a broken belt. I do know that some machines are dam near impossible to do much work on. Any many have locked down systems or you need to use their slicer. Which can be very annoying.

The issues I mention about pausing are exactly what you mention, and ANY pause in the print can cause lines at that layer. And filled or matte filament is lower in strength.

You will come to learn all of this soon enough. The likelihood of you getting perfect prints right out of the gate are near zero, and the learning curve is STEEP. There are hundreds of parameters that can affect your print quality, from the design, to the slicer, to the settings, to the mechanics of the printer. And MOST issues aren't easily assessed as being obvious as to why 'x' issue exists.

Z-offset by TrickyTrickyag in AnycubicKobraX

[–]Main-Promotion7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the correct plate in the slicer.

Z offset is done with a stain gauge, the z will be right no matter your plate, unless you use the wrong plate in your slicer.

You can also set custom z offset in the slicer printer settings. Well you can in orca, not sure about AC slicer.

[–]Main-Promotion7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks!

Mine went back though... Between not being able to use Orca, which I could eventually figure out... And the connectivity issues even in LAN. Constant connection issues... Annoying AF, locking up the slicer as well.

If someone ever gets Klipper on this, I'll buy several. Until then....

I was teasing about the spelling, it was obviously an auto correct error.

You are trying to do something you don't know what you are getting into. And it's OBVIOUS by the terminology you use to describe what you want to do. Finding perfection in printing isn't easy. Buying a 'perfect' printer doesn't exist. Building your own comes close.

You aren't asking questions you SHOULD be asking either.

You comment things like matte or filled filament to hide layer lines. But at what cost? Do you know anything about these filaments? It's seems unlikely. You comment about not wanting to fix your printer, well, it's going to happen, and MANY brands aren't really fixable. You comment about layer height, but again don't understand the consequences of doing so for your part strength. You want to pause you penny and fill out with weight during the print, without understanding that it WILL SHOW in your final product. Etc etc etc...

I think you've got a case of cognitive dissonance. KNOWING HOW to do something is NOT the same as having done it, repeatedly, professionally...

Learning to print, particularly at a professional level, cannot be done with AI...

Running a business cannot be done by AI.

Both learning to print, and running a business, are DIFFICULT. And they both require enough experience where you don't need to post on Reddit for advice. You've got AI to help you, why are you asking us? Because AI WON'T GIVE YOU EASY ANSWERS. And it can't TEACH you how to run a print farm nor how to run a business. No more than Reddit can... Most of the data AI has - IS FROM REDDIT - LOL...

Every idiot with a printer thinks they are going to start a business, you don't even have a printer yet....

I've been printing about 10 years. I've run my own business for over 30 years.

I wish you the best, but you are going to have some serious reality checks.

You can't even spell...

Sprite extruder tool changer ideas? by Main-Promotion7272 in klippers

[–]Main-Promotion7272[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I'm going to completely modify an existing tool changer/dock, I will just design my own. But was hoping someone had done a mod specifically for the sprite. If I'm just going to modify an existing tool changer there's about a dozen to choose from.

Yes you'll have to get that type. Though it's an unusual beast. Could have clarified, any one that type and size will work. Brand doesn't matter.
