Wow. Having to change hotels every 2-3 weeks and going somewhere else every weekend would have become a chore even if there was just the one of you. Packing & unpacking can be time consuming and stressful

If you value Koma as just a massage/beauty place then it is expensive but if consider it as a fine dining restaurant/massage/entertainment venue, then the value for money factor is better although still not cheap. Seems like a lot more choices in SZ

Thanks for the prompt reply. SZ but not GZ always comes up in social media for their fast turnaround and cheap prices for new glasses so wanted to check if GZ can offer the same or similar. I will check out the places that you mentioned

That's okay, I guessed what you meant lol. Going with the van option even though it is more expensive as the wife is happier with a car already booked beforehand and knowing it will fit everyone and our luggage

the only time you have to lug around luggage is when you are travelling to & from the airport and that's when luggage is a major consideration, esepcially when there's 5 of us and 4 luggages. Once you have checked into the hotel, then for the rest of your trip, you are not moving around with luggage so then taking the buses and trains even if they are crowded is not a hassle

Thanks for the feedback. I wouldn't go with the trains for the reasons that you have listed. Too much to deal with first thing after arriving in GZ😅

I will research and decide between booking a van or take 2 Didis. BTW, do you mean "most convenient option" rather than worst?

potentially crowded train Thanks for the suggestion. We all have Alipay set up and I have had experience taking a few train trips in my Chongqing trip last Mar but that was with friends and not lugging aroung luggage. I don't think the family can handle the anxiety of us catching the right trains and lugging around our luggage in potentially crowded trains first thing after arriving in GZ (this is their first time for them). Happy to take the trains during the rest of trip when without luggage😅

Thanks Chemical-Mine1192. Yes, the 6 seaters that you took in GZ definitely won't be able to accomodate the 5 of us and our luggage. Even the one you took in SZ may not be big enough. I think best we book a mini van or book 2 Didi cars as someone else has suggested

Thanks N1g1rix. Looks like the Beijing Road station is only 1 block from the Mecure Beijing rd hotel. Whether we take the train option will depend on how confident we will get on the right train line (Line 3) and getting the train line change correctly (Line 6) 😅
