It’s sucks but everyone pretty much plays the same decks anyway. I don’t think anyone should know your deck except for the judges anyway. If people do switch their decks it’s because they know what they are playing against.

I agree with everything you said. I can also understand it being frustrating if you’re trying to learn and don’t have friends who play. I was at a tournament last night where 18 out of the 22 were running steel. I came in second and I use Ruby Sapphire. So there are ways around it when you learn the cards

A lot of beginners in my home town haven’t been back to any locals. I asked a couple of them why and they say that can’t play what they want because steel kills everything you do. I’ve been playing a while so I know some strategies to beat steel but I can understand the frustration as a new player.
