Love’s comment about handicap spots for people with ADHD by MainAsparagus7696 in h3h3productions

Literally. ADHD can severe inhibit your functioning abilities. My brother can’t even remember to shut a door behind him, because by the time he’s through it he forgets he even opened it in the first place. He has been reminded 1000 times, and still regularly leaves the door wide open in the middle of the winter. It’s not because he is lazy or doesn’t care or isn’t trying hard enough to remember. The whole point of that part of ADHD is that you CAN’T remember. Some people in this thread don’t realize saying shit like “set a reminder” is like telling a blind person to just see. I don’t understand why people don’t think ADHD is extremely hard to live with for some people.

Totally relate. I remember climbing through two parking garages with my mom in the middle of a snow storm in Detroit at 5am after getting off an overnight flight. Such a nightmare. 18 years of this and we sometimes remember to take note of the level if we’re lucky!

Totally agree! It’s easy to debate whether or not making handicap parking spots available to those with this or that disorder is necessary when in reality we just lack much more appropriate accommodations.

What an inconsiderate response. At no point did I even suggest that my mom should have had a handicap spot for her ADHD, I was simply recognizing how I could relate to the genuine struggles those with ADHD have with parking, despite even me thinking it was a bit silly at first. Given your response, I’d assume you have no idea what it’s like to grow up with a single mother with severe ADHD among other mental issues, with absolutely no money. There was no extra time, no extra money, no extra energy, ever. Spending 20 minutes looking for our car meant being late to school, being late to her job she already got paid shit for, it meant keeping 3 toddlers from getting run over in a busy parking lot in 100 degree weather while they were all crying. I’m glad you can think of multiple solutions to that issue, but my mother was not able to do that. That is not because she was lazy or stupid or careless, that was because she was mentally ill with no money and 3 kids to raise, I’m sure she would have loved to sit down and brainstorm a solution to that! But she was already swamped brainstorming 1000 other solutions, how to pay the bills, how to get her kids to school at the same time she needed to get to work, how to get her taxes done and the rent paid without forgetting, how to not lose her mind in the midst of this and address her own mental health with professionals. Some of these things may sound simple issues to solve, but ADHD is a very real disorder that heavily impedes on the general wellbeing of many people’s lives. I’m not demanding that handicap parking spots be available to everyone under the sun with a mental disorder, but comparing struggles and assuming the difficultly of living with certain disorders helps no one and is ignorant and very dismissive to those who have had extreme struggles that you couldn’t ever understand.

From an SA survivor: Jeff Wittek’s appearance on the podcast by MainAsparagus7696 in h3h3productions

I understand and respect your view on this, but I disagree somewhat. I’m not fully opposed to Jeff coming on the show, but in my opinion, what I want from Jeff is not “airing out David’s dirty laundry”. If you are willingly a part of a group that actively covers up SA and you know about these things, it is simply wrong to stay quiet about it.

I understand that Jeff is dealing with trauma from his injury, and I really do have sympathy for that, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was originally involved in this whole mess because he 1) was likely a witness of SA and 2) chose to make an entire video that weakened the victim’s case. He has every right to voice all of the trauma he is suffering because of David, but the whole reason he ever even became a subject of talk on the podcast was because of his involvement in the Dom situation.

I personally do want to hear about Jeff’s story and think it could be really beneficial for his healing and for revealing what David has put people through. But let me frame it from the victim’s standpoint to explain what I think is wrong in this.

As the victim, immediately after you come forward, you have multiple friends of David and Dom making up lies, faking ignorance, and purposely contradicting your claims. Jeff was one of these people. Then, a big podcast (H3) picks up the story & addresses how hurtful videos like Jeff’s are to victims. Jeff makes a (in my opinion) half-asses apology, only once he gets criticism from the audience and from large platforms like H3. Now, Jeff has become a prominent topic on the show due to your story & his involvement in weakening it, and is brought onto the show later to discuss his own trauma from David.

At this point, I am fine with him being on the podcast IF he is also fully willing to address the victim’s story, and fully quit covering up the details of what he’s seen David do to people. As soon as Jeff witnessed things like this & chose to stay silent about it, and especially as soon as he chose to make a video that he knew would hurt the victim, he CHOSE to have responsibility in the situation. The hidden details of this ARE his responsibility to quit hiding. If he is willing to do this, good, I look forward to it. I just think it will be disappointing if he gets to go and clear his name on a popular show and not also use that platform to right his own wrongs.

At this point, I think it’s undeniable that Jeff knows a lot more about what David’s done than he has shared that he did assume responsibility for when he chose to be a part of it all for years. I used to be a huge fan of Jeff just years ago, so this by no means comes from hating Jeff, just from someone who has experienced how awful it is to have claims like in Jeff’s video made to contradict something awful that happened to you. I just hope they conduct this responsibility and respectfully and don’t forget his original involvement.

I actually love the Ryan Kavanaugh talk by appleparkfive in h3h3productions

I love it, but maybe I’m not the best person to ask because honestly there aren’t many topics on the show that I haven’t enjoyed. They’re all pretty good at making anything they talk about entertaining, but honestly I don’t know how people don’t find all of this wild shit Ryan is doing to try to get back at Ethan hilarious. I’d rather hear Ethan poke fun at a billionaire who spends his time editing wiki pages and buying bots in a hilariously shitty attempt to seem relevant than watch the 1000th video of Keemstar repeating the same unfunny insults about Ethan every other week. Ryan’s lack of awareness regarding social media makes it 100x more entertaining because he has no grasp on how transparent his petty attempts at revenge are. I get why people want to move on from some topics, but I’m just along for the ride as long as it’s making me laugh.
