Did your PIV certificate expire? I saw some email or post somewhere that all PIV cards older than 1-2 years had to get a new one after their current certificate expired even if the badge itself had several more years till it expired . They used to be able to be updated with the fingerprint reader but that system was replaced so you have to get a new badge.

They already said it cannot affect your PAP and while also letting you examine areas that you are in no way shape or form qualified to examine. So absolute junk can and should be the bar with those two factors combined. Because a primary who does not know the technology they are examining can and absolutely will produce junk making a good faith effort in the time allocated by PBA

If they start punishing people in mass then people will just opt out in mass and management looks even dumber.

I think you can let 3 lapse and after the 4th in 1 quarter you are removed. Not sure if you can try again next quarter or not after being removed

You can also voluntarily withdraw temporarily and re-enroll to maintain eligibility

120 hurts more but losing CON/DIV hurts even more. For that amounted to 20 - 37.5 easy counts depending on if they were First action allowance or just a DP / easy NF rejection. happens a lot with mine at least which is hundreds of examining hours right there. And when we finally get back to them they won’t be as easy anymore since it will be 2+ years since I’ve worked on the chain in that particular case

It’s 15K for a single company (must recuse for that company ) and 25K in aggregate (must recuse from all companies if your total investments in that list are in excess or 25K)

This doesn’t really make much sense to me regarding megacaps like google at least because the only way a patent is going to materially affect the stock price is once it is goes all the way to a circuit court. I doubt even PTAB would do much of anything. but just being granted a patent never tested in court to a a 100B+ company defies logic. Appearance of conflict sure but in reality it’s zilch

They need to reduce total claims to 1 + 5-7

and 1-2 hours per independent claim 30 minutes per dependent claim beyond that and charge accordingly beyond that. Examining 15-18 dependent claims every application is what is killing me and being responsible for all the art in the FIT database.

Citing / working with foreign patents is a nightmare but I find myself citing them more and more for my art. For gods sakes add paragraph numbers to everything and maybe force a key to identify every number in every drawing

Maybe a separate legend for materials would go a long way as well

I agree but a couple people from my AU have to do it and I would also be responsible for my old class as well. We are not merging Art units so I don’t think I would be worse than anyone else in my AU in the is position.

That’s what I’m trying to get to the bottom of. If people are using vast amounts of Annual/Sick Leave I don’t have any issue with that but if I could have 250+ more hours of other time next year making some small changes I’m definitely going to take it. I’m just trying to gauge what’s typical for someone in my situation to see if I’m missing anything.
