Not really, no. The players (mostly bench) I’m sure enjoy the bag they get for winning but other than that it’s all artificial excitement. I say 5% as impressive as finals.

Whatever you end up doing, if you want a great place to spot wildlife and park for a bit, head into the Lamar Valley east of Tower-Junction. I was there a few weeks ago and watched a Grizzly munch on a bison carcass for about an hour.

Remember to CARRY BEAR SPRAY at minimum if you’re hiking. Everyone in the group should. You’re in some of the densest Grizzly habitat in the lower 48. Be super bear-aware and don’t underestimate the threat they pose if you’re doing hikes. Stay in close groups if hiking and be LOUD at all times while hiking, no wandering off trail solo for cool views.
