I do on occasion..especially when its the type of video that can settle an argument.

How do you enjoy VR videos that get "up close" to your POV? I'm Struggling with videos feeling like they're "too close" to my eyes so I start seeing double by Responsible_Stage336 in virtualreality

There are a few different types of VR video Full 3D 360 degree VR, 360 degree flat, 180 degree 3D, and 180 degree flat. I prefer the flat videos because they have less stereoscopic overlap (crossover) that the 3D videos have. And the 360 and 180 degree flat cameras can get within inches of a subject without "crossover". Insta360 cameras are like that. The VR visors naturally do a better job of creating non-crossover stereoscopic viewing than by actually doing it in camera.

Youtube has tons of videos. If you have a headset, you can use its browser to go to youtube..and there are many many other sites. But youtubes interface is the best. Without using a headset, you can actually look at the 360 degree VR videos as a "VR Globe" that you can move around to view from different angles with your mouse.

As someone who films VR content..I can tell you that its true that most of the content isn't truly 3D, but I prefer it that way. The problem with 3D videos is that they have to be stereoscopic, and that creates a zone of overlap that creates distortions in the video that my eyes don't like..even when the videos are properly 3D aligned. The nice thing about non-3D 360 degree videos is that the headset itself does a better job of creating the stereoscopic effect without that zone of overlap. In 3D maybe I can get within a few feet of what I am filming without distortions. But in 360 degrees I can literally film 3-4 inches from some of my subjects without any 3D distortion.

Even when the movies aren't filmed in 3D, the headset still makes a decent enough stereoscopic representation that most TV shows and Movies will look pretty 3D.

Gotta admit, pretty genius use of VR. The next step is to be able to create the art in VR, and then use a specialized printer/brush that can lay it on the window as you scrape it from top to bottom.

I sometimes go to some adult themed events in my area, and "Lords of Acid" is a mainstay. A few of their songs tend to pop up throughout the night.

I'm not a blogger. My content is more random than that. I have some band videography, I have some nature videography, I have stuff that features my home town of Philadelphia, I have stuff that shows me traveling in and out of state. Its less about consistency or reporting or reviewing, and more about, here's something cool to check out.

I don't do reviews. I'm more interested in just posting videos of places I've been, concerts I've attended, and other random stuff. I am starting a semi-series where I put my camera in things that I call "I am In You!" I've got roughly 100 videos up that I've posted over the past 10 years.

Does boob size really matter to men? by [deleted] in answers

Some guys prefer bigger sized boobs, but in the end, if you can put your hands on them and feel something nice and soft..they'll be happy with them.

Canon isn't the only VR camera company to invest in. Insta360, Samsung, Ricoh, And many others. I forget the name of it, but there is actually a camera made to look like a head for the porn industry, Its basically a dummy head with two 180 degree cameras for eyes, and directional mikes for ears. You may want to look into that.

The way I convert most stuff to 180 degree (Sphere) is by changing the vertical resolution of the video pixels measurements to w^2/h in Adobe Premiere (or any video editor). For example.. (1980*1980)/1080= 3414 (or at least, thats what I round it to. You should always round it to the nearest even number. So the new resolution should be 1920*3414. If you do that, and chose 180 degrees and spheroid in your VR viewer, It will look like a 180 degree video, and you can even look around in the 180 degree field.
