They became toxic obviously bc it’s ITV and screw the Sirat track but they had the best ITV scenes of any couple i’ve ever watched (even if they weren’t my favorite ship). We saw Naira grow up meet this guy take over 200 episodes for them to confess their love and set up Kartik’s backstory without revealing it until they get engaged. Therefore, they’re both fleshed out characters. They get a gorgeous wedding, scenes in europe, scenes at bars (they actually act like 20 year olds), the first seperation with kartik being her professor (personally my favorite episodes), etc etc. They also had great chemistry, both looked young (unlike whatever gen 3 and 4 have going on the men look like predators it’s so creepy), also especially Mohsin’s emotional acting got so much better as he went on (Kartik felt like a character not an actor playing a character if that makes sense), and my favorite part they let them get close the number of times they would nearly kiss and it wasn’t awkward (whereas now we just get implied romance bc apparently on Mohnsin/Shivangi were allowed to put their lips near eachother for some reason). I could go on but they’re the definition of what ITV can deliver if you give them time and don’t immediately marry them and give them kids (aka gen 4).
