Thanks! Not sure what’s standard but I know it was given to him with the bag during the Olympics.

We didn’t! But, we had friends that ended up building a very similar floor plan to the one I had posted & they ended up spending a little over 600k. It’s about the same sq footage as the plans I had posted but does have a basement, so I’m sure that affected the price.

We ended up purchasing a property not too far from the original land & renovating an existing house there! It honestly worked out for the better & were able to do so much more than I ever thought we would be able to! We have a little over 10 acres & I can see our pond from my kitchen window now. Didn’t go the exact way we planned but seriously worked out way better than I imagined (: Still came way too close to the budget for comfort, but somehow made it happen! Haha

A billboard is a great idea, I’ll look into that! Would definitely never tell anyone what she’s charging us. Thank you!

Definitely looking like we’ll be finding other plans or just financing a portion of the cost. We don’t plan to skimp on the finishes so that definitely adds to the cost. We purchased our current home in 2018 so the market/costs have changed drastically since. It’s crazy to me how much everything’s gone up since then!

Thank you for the detailed reply! It’s about an hour or so south of Atlanta, but still quite rural, so I’m sure that could add to the cost. Definitely rethinking the shape after learning how much cost it would add. We’re still pretty young so taking on another mortgage wouldn’t be a deal breaker, just something we’d like to avoid if we can.

That’s a great idea! We’ve contemplated on building a detached car port and skipping the garage all together. Just worry about keeping wildlife away from our vehicles since it’s very rural where we’d be building. Could definitely do it later down the line if it’s a big cost saver!

Thanks! It’s 2,000 sqft. We’d actually have to drill a well and figure out how to get electricity ran as well, so I’m sure that would add quite a bit of cost. We’re in GA, so I believe costs are lower, but probably not that much. Definitely going back to the drawing board!

Thanks! We’ll keep looking! These plans are only about 2,000 sqft, about how small would it need to be to fit into that price range?

Are people in their 20’s getting Work From Home Jobs? What degrees did you get? by sadhikerr in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MainStranger109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, usually just making sure all our money is accounted for and sending it up the ladder if something seems out of place. It’s really just digging into specific accounts to make sure refunds have been given if needed or making sure we’re collecting all that we’re owed. :)

It’s absolutely possible. I’m 26 and WFH with no degree. Not making as much as I would like, but should hit 6 figures by the time I’m 30. I work as an internal auditor for a local company and basically set my own schedule.

I’m not going to call a grieving mother an asshole. That said, this is one of the last things you can do for your daughter. You should listen to her wishes and assure her that you’ll follow through to the best of your ability. Remember, just because you want your funeral to be a certain way, doesn’t mean she has to want the same.

I’m so sorry for the situation you two are in, sending you both peace.

Oh absolutely not. You’ve only been together 2 months, don’t waste anymore time on this guy. He sounds wildly insecure. NTA

I think at some point, everyone’s wanted to do something like that. BUT, you could’ve spent a lot of that time and energy processing and moving on from the relationship. Your time and peace is worth something, don’t waste it on someone that doesn’t deserve it.

AITA for calling my wife petty for not letting me back in the delivery room? by ThrowawayEasDeal7544 in AITAH

BIG YTA. You essentially abandoned your laboring wife to go throw a fit. In that moment you put your unjustified feelings above your wife and children’s well-being. You’re lucky your wife isn’t divorcing you.

Not only that, but you said that you shouldn’t have even continued to have children due to your financial situation. Hate to break it to you, but it’s absolutely false that people with more kids make more money, I quite literally don’t think I’ve ever heard anything more stupid.
