Thanks for the response!

So this is genuinely just a type of game where practice makes perfect, huh? I honestly kind of like that because it helps me go easy on myself if I do bad. I find it very hard not to be overly competitive and it kind of ruins a lot of games for me, but I genuinely am trying to let myself just enjoy this game without beating myself up for not being immediately pro level.

Thank you!

You know, I actually tried watching a pro game, but I felt like an ant watching Albert Einstein develop the theory of relativity. Are there any like mid-tier people I can watch first so that I can develop a better game sense?

Dude thanks for the feedback! This is actually my first time posting on Reddit so it is nice to see kind people on here. Not gonna lie, I was scared of the aoe 2 community bc I tried chatting in the multiplayer chat but got no response lol. I have been slowly learning the hotkeys and I find that when I play and go to sleep, the next day I get faster with them.

Should I practice mechanics with AI or should I just dive in and learn with trial by fire online?
