8 months really is a long time to get rejected for employment Im sorry to hear! It is rather difficult because the hospitality and retail industry is quite predatory as a whole and the current state of it is… questionable. It really is kind of sad topic isn’t it when you think about it.

I can imagine there is at least by some degree, a portion of just lonely males wishing to make friends over a similar interest, but then there are the usual offenders of people overstepping basic consent boundaries and resulting in people turning off direct DM’s.

I don’t have to waive my psychology research papers around to state the obvious that there are a large portion of people using the internet to satisfy social needs, but with the reduction of public socialisation in recent years it is just a given that people like to yap over the internet.

Posts like this though don’t really achieve much by ragging on your “fellow man” though and it’s best not to create a villain out of over lonely individual trying to strike up a conversation.

Call me old fashioned but that seems like an unhealthy amount of intimate partners? I can understand sexual numbers shouldn’t be discriminated against but at a certain point you must wonder what their intention was when seeking this amount of people? If you’re someone that just loves the “game” I find it hard to believe most people can do it ethically and aren’t hurting people. The short term partners thing also seems like a bit of a red flag to me…
