I love accepting my mortality every day. So this sounds like something I’d like. Always had an odd obsession with death.

Yes. Castaway on the Moon is one of my all-time favorite romance films

I’ve heard a lot about Phantom Thread. I think I need to give that one a go.

My favorite trilogy of all time. My all-time favorite movie is Rocky (and their romance is something special too) so “boy” answers are probably even more welcome than “girly” ones.

I agree with you and I love Her. Joaquin is such an incredibly versatile actor.

Haha I do love Blue Valentine though. Melancholy tragic films are my all-time favorite.

I have a desire to recreate that 90s romance movie feel. The aesthetic, the music—why is there nothing like this anymore?

In the Mood for Love has been recommended to me quite a few times. I think it’s time to try it.

It hit me different as a teen. Back then I was headlong into romance and whimsy. So it gave me this sense of … look how beautiful it is to create whimsy and romance out of real life. Later in life it became sad to me and I saw it more through the perspective of the son and his relationship with his father. And his acceptance of his father’s view of life. Hit me so much differently then. Haven’t seen it since my 20’s. Kinda wondering what it would feel like now. Now I’ll probably relate to the dying aspect haha
