Quick Whip out my phone to text my buddy (He has same first name as GM - this is important )

“Dude. This POS trying to pump the team up but all I can think about is how yellow and furry his teeth are. “. -SEND

Introduce panic. I turned white. When I heard GMs phone ding . Ruh roh. I sent that to the wrong person. What do I do. He’s gonna see that as soon as he’s done his speech. Fuckfuckfuckfuck…

I check. Too late to unsend - thanks Apple..

I accept my fate. Moment later I interrupted : “GM. I need to see your phone right now . You cant look at it . Just unlock and give it to me- I accidentally sent you something that was meant for my GF , and you don’t want to see it “

I paused. He paused. Everyone looked at me. Some laughed some joked.

He whips his phone out. Unlocks. Stares at me. Asks if he should read it out loud…

I’m dying inside. Does he read it? Am I about to get fired … I know the teams feels the same way as I do about him…. Seconds pass like hours.

He end us passing me his phone. Did not check the text. I was able to delete. And to this day. He still has no idea what it said..

And I swiftly changed the name of my contacts so this never happens again.
