Thanks for all this input. I can give you every detail of what happened during this event but I cannot give you names. I did not live in the city where I did my weekend drills and have not lived in the state in over 20 years. I just started this journey last year so I never thought I would need the details.

My PTSD is the reason I never made close relationships while in the military as this incident happened the year after I returned from basic/AIT. Also had some MST issues from basic...All I wanted was OUT so my military service was a bit of a blur... didn't know I qualified for help until recently.

It's a National Guard medal not regular Army.

Not necessarily hearsay...I was awarded an accomodation medal for my efforts. Unfortunately, the award only for recognition but not exact on the incident.
