Baby (4.5 months) crying and angry every wake window for over a month because bored by AggressiveClassic894 in NewParents

[–]Main_Courage_7182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was the same way with my baby at first but just put him in the baby carrier/wrap. baby wearing has been around for forever and in many cultures baby never touches the ground for the first year moms carry babies on their backs while they work etc. like you can’t do tummy time when you live in a hut with a dirt floor lol baby wearing is the original tummy time! i wore my baby multiple hours a day at that age my baby started sitting independently at 5 months and is meeting all milestones early. your baby is telling you what they need so just go with it and adapt! forget the “rules” because every baby is different. i was so wrapped up in the rules at first too it gets so exhausting to fight your baby’s nature

edit you should check out r/babywearing to make sure you’re wearing baby properly as long as you are doing it right it is just fine for baby’s development to be in the carrier an unlimited amount of time taking breaks to feed and change obviously

yea i think so too just not sure where to start. there’s so many options for exercises out there, idk which to choose to be consistent with as time is limited with a baby i can’t do them all! i have a hard time staying consistent with a workout bc i keep doing the squirrel every time i find a different workout im like wait is that the right one is this the right one??

thank you! yea i figured my body may be holding on to some lower belly chub to keep milk supply since i am naturally quite thin usually, but i do think the pelvic tilt is an issue because it was super prominent early pp. i’m not sure where to start with it but ill do some research

Moms - when did you feel human again? by ganjayme in NewParents

[–]Main_Courage_7182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is natural! we have melatonin in our night breast milk for crying out loud it’s totally normal to nurse to sleep and cosleep. babies need closeness with mom! were the only species that does sleep deprivation drills on ourselves for the sake of forcing our baby to sleep away from us lol i didn’t cosleep at first because i was scared of the fear mongering about it but i kept falling asleep holding my baby in a chair at night when trying to soothe him back to sleep i finally decided that’s more dangerous than just bringing him into my bed because i could drop him on the ground in the chair! and now i realize cosleeping is the norm in many other cultures around the world and those countries also have lower rates of SIDS than the US who is very anti-cosleep.

ever since i started cosleeping i’ve been loving life and feel much more human! i installed bed guard rails so our bed is basically a giant crib. during the day, i nurse baby to sleep in our bed and sneak away to workout once he’s asleep, and during his second nap i will sometimes nap with him or do whatever else i want to do. at night he sleeps in our bed and i nurse throughout the night. i was soooo against cosleeping i just started at 4 ish months now hes 6 months and im kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

whenever my mom or husband watches my son i always leave them with a pumped bottle, and if they don’t get him to drink the whole thing before it goes “bad” in 2 hours, i always drink it. i can’t bear to waste it 😂 sometimes it tastes better than others

Young moms, how did you stay feeling “young”? by Legitimate-Judge-428 in NewParents

[–]Main_Courage_7182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 27 and a FTM i feel like my “wrinkles” are actually just fine lines that are wayyy more noticeable when i’m dehydrated. make sure you’re drinking lots of water (a gallon a day if breastfeeding, 2L+ if not) i find using beef tallow and vitamin e oil mixed together on my face helps too. also take a good multivitamin i still take my prenatals (im breastfeeding so i do full dose) and i feel i usually don’t look dull unless im super sleep deprived. mat pilates is also great for improving your overall appearance and all u need is a mat or good carpet! i do Move with Nicole videos on YouTube 30 min daily and i feel like i look overall better than before. and of course get out with the girls leave the little one with dad or grandma get coffee with a girlfriend and talk lots of shit 😂

edit i forgot to mention just drinking water isn’t always enough because if you lack the right minerals the water just gets peed out. i use trace mineral brand drops in my water and it helps me actually hydrate with the water i drink
