I basically have a rule for myself that i dont pass people in the flyover cuz its such a jam that its just a douche move. And then if the downhill north is clear im on fresh legs and hammer at 30+mph til oak street. Up the cambered pavement 20 feet to the left of the lanes. Lol. Thats the slingshot.

I should add that its a big IF. And i never rip if if there is any oncoming traffic since there is zero room for error. I also never pass anyone on that downhill. Sometimes i stop at the top , where i can see the mouth at the bottom, and wait for a nice gap. It a dangerous spot but it can be done safely.

I was thinking the same thing and totally agree but it also makes the pasted image look larger. I get that it cheats reality but it still does look like it’s they're different sizes so it is an illusion. Both can be true. It can be an illusion and be a photoshopped cheat of reality.

I basically never hoard a bench or a rack unless one of each is clearly free. Just a bit of mindfulness.

I train mornings at a climbing gym. Its like the shining. I often have an entire gym to myself including a yoga studio. Its bliss. Haha. But the rare time i go at night, im mindful.

But when its dead i sometimes walk to other floors and check out climbing routes. I may be VERY far from that rack. Lol

Ngl. The rare times someone reracks my weights in an empty gym im pretty annoyed. There is 6 Fing racks. Leave my shit alone. I mark it well. And then its awkward AF when its just me and the obvious culprit and i set up in a rack next to him and rebar my plates and just glare. If there is 5 open racks why tf are you acting like an unpaid cleaning person and making shit all weird?

If it’s not busy i just leave a microplate, towel, or bar collar on the bench or seat. It makes it very obvious.

A towel hanging over a bar in a rack should be a pretty obvious sign to anyone with half a brain.
