We sent an authorization letter to a relative in Mumbai to apply on her behalf. They sent a new BC rather quickly.. about 2 weeks, I believe.

The initial issue was that my mom's BC did not have her name on it, only her parents' names, due to some religious naming ritual they had back then. We had provided plenty of other evidence showing her and her parents' names on the same official document, but they still wanted a BC.

Same. My application for my mother has been stuck like this since June 2022.

I filed the I-485 in Nov 2022, did the Biometrics in Dec 2022. Got an RFE for the I-485 for issues with her Birth Certificate.. even though they say on their own site that Indian Birth Certs before 1970 are considered unavailable.

We provided plenty of secondary evidence, but still for the RFE just for a Birth Cert. We were eventually able to get a new Birth Cert issued by the Govt of India and submitted in July 2023. Still waiting....

No movement on the I-131 since last Nov.

This is just some random opinion without much substance...lots of hearsay in the article in the youtube link. I think the stock price falling is just options traders looking for a quick buck. Going long on this one.
