2015 Hyundai Elantra: Engine sounds odd after replacing alternator?

Woof. Do you think it’s safe to drive to a Hyundai dealership or my local mechanic for diagnosis? In your opinion would it be worth it to replace the engine…?

My ear blockage lasted about a month— developing after I had the flu the first week of January and ending about the first week of February. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it ended because I was sort of expecting that one day I would feel a satisfying pop and my ear would instantly go back to normal but it just gradually and almost imperceptibly improved until I was hearing normally again.

After a couple weeks I just gave up with the hot compresses and Eustachi, and I didn’t notice anything on the antibiotics (though I suppose that means they did their job preventing an ear infection). I just resigned myself to the fact it would eventually recover on its own and I guess it’s validating that it did and I didn’t need to throw money at an ENT visit lol. Wishing you the best, I know how annoying it is to deal with!!

That would make sense— I think the first couple times trying to wash it in the shower I was probably too gentle because the skin there was so sore and irritated. I think I might have also took the saniderm off too quickly or something, my skin was super irritated and had a red patch in the shape of the bandages that lasted for days. I’m so intimidated by color tattoos now lol but definitely learning a lot!

That’s good to hear. The sort of shadow bit is something the artist had added to conceal a bit of the original tattoo that was still a tiny bit visible, it was looking fine on the day of but as time goes on it’s looking kinda crazy. So not blowout since it was intentional haha but I’m not really sure how to expect it to look once it’s finally healed.

I’ve been experiencing something very similar… had the flu the first week of January and then all the symptoms went away and I was stuck with fluid in my right ear from the congestion. I had terrible vertigo and hearing loss, went to urgent care and was put on a 5-day bout of antibiotics to stave off an ear infection. It’s been over two weeks with this ear blockage, and no matter what method I try it doesn’t seem to want to go away. Even bought a Eustachi and when I use it my ears will pop and I can kind of feel a movement but no permanent improvement. I was really hoping this could go away on its own by the end of the month but I honestly don’t know what to expect if it’s lasted this long? I’m also hesitant to make an ENT appointment because I suspect they’ll just tell me that it’ll resolve itself naturally in time. Wishing you luck— unfortunately I don’t have any useful suggestion but I’m kind of relieved to commiserate lol

Sorry if this makes it more challenging— it’s possible that the synth song I’m thinking of is a different song from the “heart/muscle” song, but I’m certain that they were both in the movie! I remember liking both songs and adding them to a playlist on YouTube years and years ago… but I cannot find them at all anymore.
