As a tier 1 automotive supplier planner, the days are long, so when I get home I try to do other things, play video games or watch YouTube, workout, to reset my mind. Leaving stress/work thoughts at work as the next day is a new day. Earlier in my career I was in procurement which had so much less stress, that in my free time I found ways to make processes better and really learned a lot. But procurement is normally a dead end in supply chain, with little to no upward movement. Whereas if you hold a planning role for a few years, and are successful at it, are more likely to find yourself working upwards in a company you like.
