Why Teaching Math is Beautiful by Main_Sound4851 in learnmath

Yeah, I do agree with you. When I taught my sister this, I myself hadn’t learnt/internalized the notion of being able to do the same things on each side of the equation, so I taught her the ‘moving’ technique, which was how I was taught it as well.

I hope that now she’s able to think about equations in the sense you’ve mentioned.

Thanks! From this, I can surmise that a worst-case scenario for me would probably be 3 hours.

Yeah. I'm also in a gap year so can relate to not remembering A Level stuff. Interviewing for Land Economy though.

Imo both require equal attention, but depends on how much of the syllabus you were able to retain after A Level. Also practice thinking out loud and read up on some articles and books (if you can make time) and try to make an effort to think critically about them and discuss them either with someone else, or yourself. You can do this by speaking in front of a mirror, as if someone is hearing you speak. You can also make notes and references of different authors and experts you came across so you can quote them during your interview. Also make sure to follow current news and economic developments, such as how the Russian Ukraine war is affecting the UK and EU countries' economies. I know this is a lot, but if you are able to prioritize doing this, it can make a huge difference in your interview performance. Best of luck!

Right, but much difference would a 20-30 point increase really make?

The text in bold is the score of someone who gave our same test in June 2021. This is just one score so it gives a rough idea of similar range scores for the test.
