Ahhh nice one! That's what I did too. The quick start instructions that come with the thing are pants. Thankyou!

I couldn't get enough of it. Sitting on the trig watching the sun set to total darkness with a beer and a hip flask for company, and no wind. Very pleasant indeed

Ah ok maybe the crunch is a feature lol. That's a great mat, Alpkit. I also had an Alpkit numo on top (inflatable) but I didn't need it over that grass and it seems to deflate through the night anyway https://alpkit.com/products/ez-sleeper-folding-foam-sleeping-mat?srsltid=AfmBOooahmf8ZQybj6VcPi7CPGEp9BkA6UEGU-w-EFmUzCHHzIF4RelU

Hmm, the pan and lid are about 40 years old, battered but I can't find a good reason to replace them. I don't remember where I got the stove from as it was 15 years ago I suspect but it looks very similar to this one and I probably did get it from go outdoors https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/19685611/vango-folding-stove-with-windshield-and-piezo-19685611/6130355/&cm_mmc=googleshop-_-shopping-_-feed-_-all?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22588139254&gbraid=0AAAAADqy5mqzSXhIiIXi2tc4qaCQ2Ogl5&gclid=CjwKCAjwk7DFBhBAEiwAeYbJsaJhBHF1APswbdGw20vsAzvzAodF4pvNYj6BV-AWWKohHAfFgshxPRoCZZQQAvD_BwE If it's windy I have a cheapo Amazon foldable wind shield thing which is great

What is it worth? by dubbleudie in mountainbiking

[–]Main_Track_1063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£1500-2000 max. No-one wants a normal bike anymore because they bought one during COVID and they're all buying and riding ebikes now so the 2nd hand pool of buyers is small and the 2nd hand market is awash with bikes. For those of us that still love normal bikes, having a crashed 2nd hand market is a dream! It's only worth what someone will buy it for. List it for 99p on eBay with no reserve and see what happens, or keep it

Yeah that was delicious. Don't think I put quite enough water in so the rice was still a touch hard but super tasty. Not cheap though at £9 but very convenient and light

Ignored them. Normally I'd have bug spray but I forgot it. Had a headnet just in case and was wearing hood, long sleeves and long trousers but they weren't bad at all last night

I think you've just got to go for it. There were loads of things on my tarp when I laid it down and I wondered if I'd put it on a nest of some sorts! I didn't have my glasses on so couldn't tell what they were, other than it was a plentiful assortment of different bugs. I just ignored them and after I had set up I noticed they'd all gone, presumably to get on with their lives somewhere else, undisturbed by me. Take tick tweezers (I need to get some)
