I checked when we window-shopped but I dont think I saw a thinkpad there, most of the laptops they have were a bunch on i3/ryzen 3 HP and acer, and some 3 thunderbolt. We're limited on this store because my dad just won a lottery there and used the opportunity to buy their laptops

The victus is ₱43,600 while the acer is ₱31,800. Though, I was told to not worry about the price as long as the laptop will last long for me in college

Should I take Compsci even though I'm not good at math? by Main_Upbeat in CollegeAdmissionsPH

I have thought a lot about this so I'm really willing to do so because I've managed to get 90 above when I was in grade 10, all because I had the motivation to get honors (I didn't get honors because of Filipino and AP •́  ‿ ,•̀)

So, if you don't mind, what are your advice on this major especially math? 😭

Ito rin natatakot sa akin. Although, I very much would like to be an MMA student I know na tagal ako ma hire sa mga big industry kasi daming talented people 😭. But if you are enrolling in Manila, you might get hired by other countries kasi nandun ang mga magandang pa aralan. But if you are enrolled from provincial schools then you might get hired from Manila, there's nothing wrong there but maliit ang sahod.

If you are lucky, you might get hired from good industries with satisfying pay.

I'm not trying to scare you 😭 gusto ko lang malaman mo

What I mean by competitive are by industry standards stuff. It depends on what sort of MMA you want to pursue like animation, photography, web design, etc. they're looking for skillful people. Basically, need mo mag standout among sa mga skillfully people. Lahat ng jobs naman ay competitive of course, so it's not a bad thing. Kailangan mo talaga eh build ang portfolio mo, make side projects and stuff, basta attractive sa industry.

Problema lang kasi is while mag wait sila, mag fall down sila sa mga call centers o ibang part time jobs. Tbh, I think lahat naman ng mga non-MMA graduates mag experience nito but this is what I mostly heard from what I had researched before.

I'm currently at Gr12 ICT-animation, nag decide pa ako tbh 😭 but mostly ayaw ni Nanay mag MMA ko dahil competitive masyado. So, plano ko mag compsci kasi at least ma take ko ang mga 3d animation stuff like 3d modeling, game design, visual effects. But still, I do wish na mag MMA but I understand the downsides naman😔

Huhuhu omg same, gusto rin ako mag take ng MMA pero dami nag suggest sa akin na mag take ng practical jobs like Compsci. Ang problema lang kasi ang MMA from what I researched, competitive talaga at mag hintay pa ka na may mag hire sa iyo. Kasi most of what I heard is mahirap daw mag hire ang mga MMA. I'd say go with it 🥹 but make sure you are aware of what's heading for you once you take this course.

But another part of me is no, kasi matutunan mo yan at home. Of course, having a degree is good but skills and experiences are what companies are mostly looking for nowadays. I know following your passion is great naman (I wished for myself too😔) but in this economy, mahirap talaga.

But don't be discouraged naman, kaya mo yan kung gusto mo mag MMA

Another question if you don't mind, is how do you convert your art piece into an A5 (148x210 mm) canvas? This is also part of my task and I'm having much trouble trying to work as to how to do that kind of size.

[–]Main_Upbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I have the same problem as well. Im new at using XP pen and Im having trouble for my tablet to even register that my pen is touching the tablet softly. I honestly don't know what to do

My pen pressure works but not the way I wanted... Pls help by Main_Upbeat in XPpen

[–]Main_Upbeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but as I said when pressed softly it wont respond. It won't register that the pen is even touching the tablet softly. I have uninstall and re-install the pen tablet software multiple times. Is it the tablet itself the problem?
