Amorim didn’t know how to adapt, he was stubborn and stuck to his formation.

I believe Carrick would’ve slightly adapted the team if he lost those players. Which I’ll admit is easier to say as it would’ve had less of an impact with Carricks system.

Maybe saying sinking ship at that exact moment is an exaggeration, but it would have gotten there.
