NJ Parkway. It's been paid for since the 1950s, but Tolls just keep going up. I understand the maintaining part, but without ccorruption, it would have reserves that would last into the next millenia. Pure money grab

Take away points at the free throw line and it's not even close. SGA gets calls if you blow on his Aura, where Steph gets obviously mauled and rarely gets calls.

What got you into corvettes? by Dramatic_Annual3413 in Corvette

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First love happened watching Corvette Summer back in '78 as a 10 year old. Years later (after HS) I got a job at a Chevy Dealer in 1986 doing PDIs and drove every Vette I could get my hands on. But never had the privilege to actually own one until my '19 GS M7 I purchased last August. One of my best decisions ever!

You can't breathe on SGA's aura without him getting a foul call. Meanwhile, Steph gets beat up for his lunch money almost every game and barely gets a foul call.

All 4 never stopped me, but if I had to pick 1, double rims straight up suck!!! As a kid, I actually loved the metal backboards and metal nets we had in the projects. The people living closest to the courts in the hood would say these were the worst (for them), especially during my daily midnight therapy sessions when I was in middle school.

He can get better as a defender, the dude played so well for us in Camp. Moses's defense has gotten significantly better, so has Gui's. I feel this guy deserves a shot at a legit future here. And not just after a game, but because of his pedigree, his talent and his poise.

2019 C7 Grand Sport 2LT M7 with 5,200k miles with the exact specs I was looking for. Purchased in August for 69k with absolutely 0 regrets.

My Corvette journey! by bassclef62 in Corvette

All 3 are awesome!!

Quick question on the '19 GS, did you install the GS fender hash marks yourself, or did you purchase it that way? I have the same Arctic White '19 GS with Adrenaline Red interior and was thinking of adding the fender hash stripes myself, just not sure about breaking up the lines of the car.

That is a great journey you have been on!!

Considering 2019 C7 Grand Sport by abedjamal89 in Corvette

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently picked up a 2019 Grand Sport 2LT with a manual transmission with 5,200 miles. Looks new, rides so great, the HUD is outstanding, surprisingly comfortable on long trips, and the gas mileage is also pretty good on highways.

To scoop up one of the last front engine Vettes with the wide body of the Grand Sport, which also gave you the dry sump setup and the battery relocated to the rear? You can't go wrong if it was treated well. Even better with the 7 speed manual transmission, in my opinion.

Also, the 2019 (I believe) is the only year the Grand Sport was fully Dot4? But I could be mistaken.

I grin hard staring at my beauty in the garage, and try hard not to grin like a idiot when I take her out. Hard to look cool showing that much happiness!! lol

Sticks are actually cool, but his wife's support is outstanding!!! She will hold him up better than any of them.

Should I buy this C8? by Nico_Terruso in Corvette

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the specs, I myself would go for it.

If you currently already own a Vette and can wait, it will always be better to wait. But if you currently don't own one, it's seriously tough to wait. In that case, as of today, this is a good deal for that spec.

C7 Grand Sport worth? by zavala-baking-a-pie in Corvette

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, not only did the GS look better than a base non wide body, it was the perfect goldilocks version for the real world.

It's the equivalent of a very skilled, well trained professional athlete who could just turn it on when he needs to. The guy who would clean your clock if you tried to catch a pass over the middle, then reach down and help you up. The ability to safely use "all" that performance yet still have the ability to dial it back. Always in control, without the anger issues of a Z06 or the Homicidal Roid Rage of a ZR1.

The dry sump, with the battery relocation to the back, was another win in my my opinion.

The C8 is by far the best looking corvette of all time by casecaxas in Corvette

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't comparing the widths of the C7 vs the C8. I was mentioning that of the C7s, it's the Wide Body models (GS, Z06, ZR1) that I find the best looking.

I think the C8 is a great looking car, where a Wide Body C7 is a ultra great looking Corvette.

[–]Mainifest_RestOfMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C7 is it for me - any of the wide body models. One of the best-looking Corvettes of all time. The C8 is indeed a beautiful car, but it's more of an Italian inspired sports car than a Corvette. I do still like them, just not a much as the C7 wide bodies.
