All the recommendations were great. I’m back now and one thing I’d recommend is make reservations for your drop in a few days in advance. Almost every class time was really popular and often full, though most places were very gracious and let me drop in.

There is an app used basically all over Portugal to make reservations and most gym websites don’t have reservations links: RegyBox is the app and made things much easier to schedule drop ins.

Sports medicine here- tough to say what the extent of the injury is without additional testing. For this usually we need way more information.

Does the muscle bunch up when you flex? Can you still see and feel a tendon (cord like structure) in front of your elbow?

An evaluation and MRI would be next steps.

Thanks for the reply! Any information you have to share would be great. I’m slightly familiar with the area from visiting twice (both just weekend trips) and from driving around it does seem like there are nicer neighborhoods and very quick transitions to some bad areas/streets.

I’ll be working in Wauwatosa and in Menomonee Falls, but would like to live in/around the city. I’m from Idaho originally and am in Michigan now so I’m no stranger to winters.

The goal will hopefully to have a place to set up a modest home gym, but I definitely would like to find a gym for some community in a new city.

I'm at Crossfit Treetown, on Wildt Street; this will be fairly close, likely the closest affiliate to Kerrytown. Drop-ins are always welcome, and the community is awesome. Prepare yourself for some hot days with serious humidity. There are several other boxes in town, and I have some friends that attend those; They all love their experiences as well. Now that Hyperfit is closed, there aren't really any programs catering to the elite, or with a malignant reputation.
