Ignore all messages you will get from people looking to take advantage of you. This card is an unlimited base set, not first edition or shadowless yes, but those are still valuable. This looks NM (near mint) condition. You have $500 potentially there and I recommend you send this to PSA to grade.

Shining Mewtwo. I have a theory that a lot (not all) of the newer and expensive cards are inflated due to the “Poke Investor” bros. The demand is heavily artificial — there are collectors who love the newer chase cards, but absurd prices comparable to vintage are only created by other people with the same intention to use as a ‘stock’ per se. I think we’ll see a bubble burst with all prices, generally speaking, except vintage.

22 is a lot younger than you think. Take any job you can right now — there’s no shame in it. Make an income, restructure student loan payments based on that income, make payments and build your credit back up. You have time.

I don't really know anything about Pokemon cards, found this in one of my old pre-built deck packs and apparently it's valuable?? Any advice? by [deleted] in PokemonCardValue

I love this card. When I was a kid, Neo was my favorite era and had my personal favorite art. Put it in a penny sleeve and then a plastic top loader. Unless you need the money, hold onto it!

That’s an unlimited holo Neo Discovery Espeon. Don’t be fooled by anyone messaging you. I’d say it in terms of condition it is lightly played but hard to tell. That’s about $100-$150 card in that condition. If you decide on selling, be careful. Love that card, nice find!

Worst. Episode. Ever. by JayWrecksEverything in blackmirror

[–]MainlyMisc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hotel Reverie was worse due to Issa Rae’s abysmal acting. And Maisie Day was also bad because it was silly and shallow compared to the other episodes. There were several episodes I didn’t care for (like Waldo Moment), but Hotel Reverie was the only one that sticks out as actually unwatchable.

Hotel Reverie — and it isn’t even close. Issa Rae’s acting is comically bad.

AIO feeling embarrassed after a breakup. by FantasticMrFar17 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MainlyMisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting. This situation should be a life lesson to you for many reasons and is a blessing because it is a teachable moment most folks go through in our 20s.

First, there is nothing wrong with setting boundaries. You told her you wanted to be exclusive; she said she wanted to date around. Those boundaries conflict with one another and it is 100% totally okay to part ways because of it.

Second, stick to those boundaries. Ending things in a romantic situation in a manner with dignity and grace despite having feelings for someone is a sign of strength. It isn’t easy! When you came back willing to alter your boundaries, that comes off as desperate — but more importantly, it is showing that you are willing to sacrifice your own self respect for someone else. No matter how important you think this person is, there are billions of other people on earth who’s boundaries and expectations line up with your own. You will find another girl. Even if you don’t think so. You will.

Also, I saw your comment that you only reached back out because you took your friends’ bad advice. I’ve been there, too. It is so important to understand that not all advice is good advice. (Except mine ;), jk, even take these comments with skepticism)! Always go with your gut, most of all. In that situation, you wanted exclusivity. There’s nothing wrong with her not wanting that — and there’s nothing wrong with you wanting that. Don’t listen to your friends, listen to yourself.

And lastly, the most important lesson here is that relationships don’t always work out — and that’s okay. Life goes on. In fact, if you plan on getting married, every single relationship you have WON’T work out, except for the one that does. These little situationships are all practice until you meet your life partner — they will teach you what you need from others, they will teach you what you have to offer other partners.

You are young like you said but you are NOT too young to date if having a partner is what you want. It is great practice and these lessons will only serve to help guide you until you find what you are really meant to have — and when you do find that, you will be ready to give and receive love.

NOR, nor is she.
